Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago O'Hare Airport by IHG

The room was very nice. I loved the view to see the planes go by and land.

I had to call my credit card company to get a refund/dispute on the $50 incidental charge as the hotel did not put it back on my card. Hotel said it was credited and weeks went by and no credit. My credit card had to refund the money.

We ended up staying here unexpectedly after our flight was cancelled, and it turned out to be a convenient choice given its close proximity to the airport. The room was very spacious, clean, and well equipped, which made it comfortable for an overnight stay. The hotel itself doesn’t offer many facilities, but that’s understandable considering it’s mainly designed for short stopovers. Breakfast was average — nothing special, but it did the job. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth and easy. Overall, it was a comfortable and practical place to stay for one night between flights.

Understandably being at the airport there was quite a bit of noise from the motorway. There is also a lack of pavements when walking from the airport terminal and a couple of busy roads to cross….without a crossing point.

Convenient for car rental and access to airport via transit train

Night staff could have been more helpful, freeway noise and motorcycle gatherings in next door fast food restaurant but I don’t suppose that happens all the time we were just unlucky

The room locker had problems, it was not working the reception lady came upstairs and said that it would be resolved tomorrow but nobody came and did anything , then I reported again but still nobody did anything

Location. Near Panera and Ohare

We are still waiting for the $50 bond to be transferred back onto our credit card. This is 4 weeks after our stay. Elevator did not work so we all had to walk up 5 flights of stairs. I have already sent an email requesting the bond be transferred back but have not received any communication back. Please advise.

Room was clean. Liked the variety of pillows from soft to firm. Breakfast was decent.

Elevators were broken. No chair in the room or anywhere to sit except on the beds. Room was full of the two beds. Hotel sits right on the freeway, so light and noise in the room.

The room was fine and clean. The included breakfast was adequate.

When I arrived there wasn't anyone at the desk or within earshot of the desk. I called the desk and no one showed up. A line started to form and about 10 minutes in a kid finally strolls around the corner watching a video on his phone and then finally checks us in. No apology or anything. Second, I needed to cancel a second reservation due to a canceled flight and still have not heard back and it's been over 48 hours. Overall, a terrible customer service experience.

We loved the proximity to the airport, cleanliness, price, and comfort. For being some close to the airport and an interstate, we couldn't hear any noise. Also a staff member found and returned my sunglasses which was so nice. Thank you!

Missed breakfast due to early flight!

I arrived earlier than check-in time. And I was tired because of 11 hours flight. They had an empty room and they gave me room earlier than check-in time. Also very clean and comfortable...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, cozy place to stay.

Few points to improve: welcome water, toothbrush and tea/coffee in the room by default would be better - this is now only upon request. On weekdays the breakfast is served till 9am, would be better to serve it till 10am like in weekends.

I stayed here to see J-hope and stayed for a total of 2 nights. The staff were so nice and even though we landed early, they allowed us to store our bags for almost 7 hours! The two people working the front desk were also so nice!!! Will be staying again next time i’m in town

Only snag was everyone was breakfasting together seats difficult and initially warm food ran out but was quickly replaced

Good location in walking distance from the rental car facility of Chicago O'Hare, HolidayInn Express standard as expected (spacious, nice rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast)

When me and my 15 years old daughter arrived 1 am in the morning (very late because of long delay of our transatlantic flight, awake for more than 24 hours) we had to wait for 10+ minutes at the reception, because receptionist was talking to a highly intoxinated woman who wanted to check-in (but had no reservation and no credit card), and then later asked for help resetting a smartphone that was locked (stolen?). Even for my 15 years old daughter it was absolutely obvious that the woman was "completely stoned", and I felt the correct reaction would have been to call 911 when the woman would not leave (also to check the status of the locked smartphone that I guess was stolen, and to make sure the woman receives adequate care). I acknowledge that it is a hard task for the female receptionist to assume the night shift completely alone, but I think she was too friendly / too patient here when it was obvious that the woman was an addict with no entitlement to stay at the hotel. Only after I intervened after 10+ minutes and requested that we can finally check in so my daughter can get some sleep, the receptionist asked the woman nicely to leave. This was an unpleasant experience and not something an underage child should experience when checking into a HolidayInn (even in the middle of the night).

Hotel was nice, clean and near food stores. It was also near Allstate arena and the airport.

Everything was very clean. Inside and Out.

The parking seems limited for handicap.

Upon my checking in on August 25th to 26th the receptionist seemed irritated and was not nice at all gave snappy answers and didn’t even really look at me when talking but at checkout on the 26th the receptionist was very nice I really felt welcomed
