Lovely place!

We liked everything: very nice host, the mountains around are very beautiful, the little garden, the waterfall behind the property is lovely. It is really a very nice place with nice people.

We hear the bell ringing all the time from the church in front of the property. But it was not too disturbing.

I was happy when I had left

Location in the valley

The staff was very hostile, don´t understand that is it ranked that highly here. Thought I went to the wrong one. Why would you not accept to pay by card and then take your ID until you pay?? No chargers for your phones, little kitchen facilities. They smile at you while you feel it´s fake. Never again hopefully

Perfect!

The best hostel I've ever been in! There is a well equiped kitchen, and the herb garden for guests was a really nice touch :) Everything is thought through and well organised. The owners are such lovely people! Monica recommended us some stuff do to in the area - her husband painted a perfectly accurate map of the area with all the beautiful places worth visiting. Thanks to this we dicovered an amazing waterfall where you can swim. The surrounding is just stunning. I'm so glad me and my friend stayed at this beautiful place!

Wunderbarer Ort!

Das Hostel Baracca Backpacker ist ein wunderbarer Ort im Maggiatal! Es ist ein typisches Hostel mit seinen Mehrbettzimmern, Gemeinschaftsküche und Gemeinschaftsbad - und ist doch so viel mehr! Eine kleine Unterkunft mit ca. 15 Betten am Rande des Dorfes Aurigeno, mit wunderschönem Garten, den man nutzen darf, viel Ruhe, alles gepflegt und sehr sauber. Das besondere: die freundliche, warmherzige Atmosphäre, die durch die Betreiber Monika und Reto ausgestrahlt wird. Monika ist für alle Fragen offen und sehr hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank dafür an euch beide! Wer mit Einfachheit und Entschleunigung umgehen kann, ist hier genau richtig.

Keine Kritik, nur Hinweise für diejenigen, die sich mit der Einfachheit dieses Hostels doch etwas schwer tun könnten: Es gibt ein kleines gemütliches Sofa, Aufenthaltsraum wäre ansonsten die Küche. Das Leben im Hostel Baracca Backpacker spielt sich überwiegend draußen ab. Die Zimmer sind für alle zugänglich, auch Monika kommt mal rein, zum Blumen gießen. Das Bad ist schlicht. Und wie das in einem Dorf so ist, die Kirchenglocke auf der anderen Straßenseite teilt die Zeit lautstark mit! Zum Bus sind es 20min zu Fuß, bis dahin hat man aber schon viel gesehen.

Sehr schöner Garten und damit verbundene Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten; sehr nette Vermieter; toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen bzw. Fahrradtouren.

Es lässt sich zwar nicht ändern, aber die Kirchenglocken sind schon sehr laut.
