The Krabi Forest Homestay

This hotel is good, and I would stay here again, but there are definite areas for improvement. The facilities all worked well, and the wifi was really excellent. The bathroom was designed in a way where there’s lots of space and I appreciated that they have many recycle bins.

1. From midnight until 7 AM, there are no staff present. I asked reception what happens if there’s a true emergency in the middle of the night, and i just got a blank look. This is a serious deficiency. If someone were to get seriously ill, or if someone tried to break into your room, guests should, at the very least, be provided with an emergency WhatsApp number or something like that. 2. Smoking is allowed in the seating area, outside the room. There’s merely a 1/2 wall, separating the rooms, maybe 4 feet in distance. The guy in the room adjacent to mine was a heavy smoker. The smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. It even seeped into my room on several occasions, making me nauseous. I highly recommend making the hotel non-smoking. 3. This is a hotel with 2 beaches nearby. And it’s also rainy season, so guests will return to their room covered in sand and mud. The hotel has no floor mat at the door, either inside or outside. So you’re just asking guests to track in dirt and sand.
