The food was good but lacks a bit of refinement. It does not live up to the allure of the estate

The restaurant and its personnel are excellent. The animals seem to be in excellent condition and it was wonderful that we could see 3 of the big 5 on the garden route.
It is an area of magnificent beauty, but the ‘veld’ of the property seems rather under managed - a lot if invasive plants, the dirt roads are in particularly bad shape.
