Very kind and helpful staff. Comfy beds on tatami mats and you get yukata to wear in the room which was lovely.
The place is a little old and dusty but it’s also very authentic and charming.

Good position, convenient by car.
The staff didn't explain anything about their onsen (in the annex!) until I asked for info, felt unusual for Japanese standards. We couldn't really use the onsen in the end because there was hair in the bath, maybe we got unlucky with our timing. It was a bit weird the position of the sinks, completely out in the corridor.

It's cheap and clean. Both the rooms and the showers were very clean and that was nice.
The communication with the owners in English is virtually impossible. Both via booking (no reactions after repeated tries to secure a normal parking space) as face to face. Also no attempts to simply use Google Translate or similar to facilitate communication. They seem pretty ok people smiling and all but there was zero effort to communicate. We came in, got the key and that's it. No explanation about where the showers are, where to park the car, how to check out, how to get the bikes etc etc etc
