Lovely apartment and host situated in a perfect spot

Lovely apartment perfectly situated in Windermere. Irene is a lovely host and answered anay questions anad queries we had. Irene had provided items, like tea, milk and cleaning supplies and nothing was a bother for her.

Average experience. Welcoming owner of the property would make it a nice stay.

Nice location, closer to center with parking place.

The owner had kept complimentary products on arrival. Half of these were expired and having pungent smell. The owner of the property was not flexible with the departure time which is unpleasant. There was long list of no to Do’s upon arrival, best to keep a list rather than bothering tourist over and over again. The owner can be generous and kind hearted to tourist. No one is staying for free.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay.

It is a nice two bedroom apartment and the large family room made our stay enjoyable especially when we had a couple of wet days. The property was sparkling clean and manager ensured that we had clean towels etc when requested. It is located close to restaurants, shopping and transport.

The internal door closers were noisy and inconvenient, but apparently necessary.

the host was very lovely, the property was very spacious and well equipped. It was very easy to bring my toddler here, she loved it. It was nice and clean everywhere and we had all we needed. It’s lovely and homely!

The apartment it self was lovely clean and comfy location was great. Would have definitely booked again until the morning of departure....

The hostess. At first she seemed nice just to much in your face overly chatty and wanted to show you what ever little button switch cupboard bed toilet paper tv remotes etc was. She was abrupt when checking in enforcing how we got our things out of the car including the children. At this point I just thought awww She must be lonely and like chatting to her guests...untill vacating time. The check in day she informed me that we could check out later as no other guests coming I asked for 11am she said yes. At 10.55 in the midst of packing the car getting the kids coats and shoes on and me trying to take all rubbish out and after emptying bins remaking beds as I always do and throwing away half cooked breakfast away as her electric oven tripped all electrics 2 times we gave up on eating she entered the property and began to what I can describe as being chastised like I did when I was 5! She back tracked on check out time and continue to tell me she did not say that and tell me she expects all guest to clean the property before leaving! The only thing left for her to do was cleaning bedding sweep and mop floors! Which I would expect to be the hosts job as she is paid 185 a night. Never in My life have I been treated like that as a guest. She then persisted to tell me there is nothing wrong with her electrics it must've have been something of mine which we didn't have plugged in as everything was packed to go. Yet we had her electric cooker on and toaster trying to cook breakfast. The apartment is lovely the host is most certainly in the wrong job.

Spacious, warm and comfortable. Really well equipped. Friendly and informative welcome by Irene. Easy off street parking a very short walk from restaurants and shops in Windermere.

The location of the property was good as it was only a minutes walk from a house other family members we’re staying in so we spent time there. It was also close to the lake and other attractions.

When we arrived the heating had not been put on and bearing in mind it was November the apartment was very cold and took its time to warm up we had arrived around 2.30pm,for us only to realise when we returned later that evening it was cold again as it had been put on a timer. Also on arrival the landlady came in to show us around and then asked for us to complete the booking to which I said I thought we had paid in full when I booked online this was just a misunderstanding as I said as I looked for my confirmation just to check, unfortunately Irene took great offence to this and said I was accusing her of being a thief which I absolutely wasn’t and said I would never want her to feel like that I was literally just looking for my booking to which she replied that that was how I made her feel. I then felt totally uncomfortable obviously we went with Irene paid the other half of the money and I listened to lots of stories about her family when I really just wanted to get back to my own family. This for me completely tainted our stay and we therefore spent our time at our families holiday house and only slept at the apartment.

A delightful and comfortable stay with definite to-return-to qualities!

It is nestled in a quiet little suburb just off the main road, very spacious and the decor is very elegant. The whole apartment is very clean and the bathrooms and kitchen well fitted out. Irene, the owner is a lovely and delightful lady, and our whole experience there was wonderful. I highly recommend this lovely apartment and we look forward to a return visit💕🏆

The flat provided a home away from home.Much more comfortable than a hotel room.

Very close to the high street,shops and restaurants .Not too far to walk to the lake where there are a number of activities. Spotlessly clean flat with gleaming wooden floors,clean linen and towels and clean bathrooms,excellent kitchen fully equipped.Option of eating at nearby restaurants or ordering a takeaway. Welcoming and friendly and kind host that provided useful information about the Lake and activities available along with leaflets and maps.Will definitely want to stay here again.

Apartment was clean, comfortable and well decorated. Was a bit worried because of the poor rating for WiFi but I had no problems, the WiFi was good. Great location, nice food within walking distance. Irene is a lovely and very friendly hostess.

I like that we had our own special bedroom but also the kitchen diner to socialise.

the shower was poor, ended up having a bath. That’s not the hosts fault but all you need sometimes is a good shower. Wi-Fi was faulty.

Like home away from home

Our host welcomed us personally and made us feel at home. The property itself was easy to maintain and had all the amenities we needed. Our host was also quick to rectify the light that was not working on the landing - no wait was incurred.

Nice place, shame about the host.

The apartment was clean and spacious and comfortable. Facilities were adequate although had to ask permission to use the oven. For the living room heater you had to put a £1 coin in a slot which was broken anyway. Lucky the radiators were working. We did love the location as close to all the amenities.

The host was extremely finicky about everything from the outset. Clearly she has had some issues in the past and does not trust anyone which comes across as frustrating. Suggestions of having to pay more if using the oven was not acceptable but we did get round that. The boiler was set at certain times although we could easily override this. Supposedly her local council do not provide enough dustbin space for more that a couple of nights rubbish and she expected us to take home in the car which we didn't. Her approach towards checking the property and signing off everything was ok, was met with negative connotations. Finally she said she did not trust us foreigners which went above the line considering two of us were white male English and our wives being from Thailand but lived in England for over twenty years and a young daughter of 14. She living in the old days somehow. I do not like any form of racism and she did not apologise for this.
