Well run, beautiful hotel

Great place to stay, the staff all seemed happy to be there and we found it very clean and beds were super comfortable. Shower was good too. I would happily stay there again, beautiful place. Very happy with the value for money too.

The cooked breakfast buffet was the only slight down point. Mostly good food (fabulous mushrooms) but the scrambled egg let it down. Very dry and the metal it was in turned it green/bluey. I asked for more eggs, they brought fresh out and it was exactly the same.

Brilliant for our one night stay, thank you.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Rooms were clean and comfortable, windows open properly (oh joy!) and had everything needed for the night's stay. We can see why its such a popular venue, really lovely place.

We ate dinner in the restaurant, it was busy, lovely atmosphere and staff, but the food wasn't brilliant. Bavette Steak Pinwheel was tasty enough but tough (great mash) but the burger overcooked and bland and the pizza had way too much cheese.

I booked for two nights but left after the first night. Not good.

The room smelt musty and wasn’t comfortable at all. The bed was hard and the shower was awful. It was really slow and didn’t wash soap off. I couldn’t wait to get out of the room. I paid top dollar for a very bad stay.

There was single glazed windows in the room that looked old and dated. The room needed updating aswell. There is no option to have breakfast when booking either. Very clean though and the bathroom was immaculate.

Lovely location by the river.

The bed was extremely hard. It would have been nice to have been able to sit at a table to see the river, despite there being empty tables for both dinner and breakfast we were always given tables with no view.

The hotel has a quirky charm with low ceilings, a cosy bar with an open fire, and festive Christmas music. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

barn was superb party venue

radiator in room 32 was not working. rant reception but no one answered. when i went to reception the receptionist was not busy and not helpful but a young man did arrange an electric heater.

Beautiful hotel and location

The hotel is just lovely outside and in . The food and service was excellent and the staff were very olive and helpful . The rooms are nice and warm and clean and the beds are super comfortable I would highly recommend booking this hotel.

Easy to reach from the M1. Plenty of parking bays. Good size bedroom that was modern and clean. Nice bathroom . Restaurant offers good range of meals. Evening meal and breakfast were both very tasty. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Location was fantastic & staff were all very nice hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean I got the impression the staff were on zero hours contracts and the minute it went quiet, staff were sent home and bars and catering facilities just shut up A real shame tbh

They shut the bar early 9.30pm even if you are a resident & cancelled breakfast at last minute and told us they were having extractors cleaned in the kitchen They refunded us the cost of breakfast but not really the point I asked why they could do coffee and continental breakfast instead as no extractor needed for that I Got no response
