Groom Epernay - Jacuzzi & Champagne

Great location, very picturesque on the one side and old european village on the other. Walking distance from centre and Ave de Champagne. We arrived during a very hot day and the aurconditioner was left on for us to cool the apparentment down. The bedrooms were very big.

Central location, easy walk to the Avenue de Champagne, local shops and the weekly market

Lovely clean and well maintained apartment, excellently located for Epernay ! Andre is very helpful and the welcome champagne a lovely touch. Highly recommended for your stay and also free parking on the street nearby too as a bonus.

Due to the heatwave, mobile AC unit and bedroom fans weren’t really sufficient to keep the apartment cool sadly. It was uncomfortably hot, but Andre did his best to help us in the circumstances which was greatly appreciated.

A very mixed bag. Friendly and helpful owner was there when we arrived early. Apartment was very well-equipped with modern appliances, etc and the bathroom was very well done - but see below! Plenty of hot water, good instructions for most things and reasonable wi-fi.

Like so many of these apartments, one wonders if the owner ever actually stays in it! As mentioned above, the bathroom was great - but the loo was ridiculous! You practically had to climb over the toilet bowl to get in. There was an air-conditioning unit, but the exhaust hose kept falling out and the window had to be half open to get the hose out, which rather defeated the object. Although the apartment was modern and clean, the hallway and stairwell could only be described as a bit 'seedy' and I wish we had known (as people in our mid-70s) that the apartment was up two flights of narrow stairs! Parking outside, said the notes - well yes, if you could find a space. In the event, we decided to leave on the following morning and gave up our second night so, for us, it was not good value.
