The hotel is beautifully renovated and in a perfect location.
Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the hostess’s response when we asked for a second bedsheet, as we were travelling with a friend. She laughed at the request and offered to provide one for an additional €10, which felt very unreasonable for such a basic request.
She explained that this was because we had a double rather than a twin bed. However, the “double” was actually two small single beds pushed together, with a gap in the middle, so it would not really have been practical for two people to sleep on as a double anyway. More importantly, I don’t think requesting separate bedding should depend on whether guests are a couple or friends.
Unfortunately, this interaction really spoiled what would otherwise have been a very positive impression of the hotel.
