Chitova’s Guesthouse

The property was well located within easy walking distance to town and a bit further to the Bridge and Falls. The pool was kept very clean and the manager went out of his way to hire some deck chairs for us. Beds were all comfortable and there was a selection of pillows for us. 3 bathrooms was perfect for 3 couples. The manager, Herbert, was very attentive and helpful. He arranged transport, recommended activities and sites and even picked up Zambezi beer for us. The house keeper, Blessing, kept the house clean and tidy and made beautiful breakfast for us every day.

The couch is broken and extremely uncomfortable! It desperately needs to be replaced! The dining chairs are also very hard and uncomfortable. The interior of the house needs a bit of maintenance. Whilst the staff were all wonderful, we were very disappointed to have USD 240 stolen from our rooms. We had to lodge a police report. We recommended they remedy any future occurrence of theft by installing a safe for guests.

Herbert was very helpful and Nigel his driver. Our bags were lost by Airlink and they went to airport to assist. The house has 4 bedrooms and the lounge kitchen is large with a nice enclosed pool. Great for families and large group. We were a group of 6. They provided airport pick up and drop off and vehicle available at reasonable price to go to town.

A couple of times no hot water for showers.

The Breakfasts were delicious.

Hot water was problematic and the oven door did not close properly.

Curtains were quite see through.
