The service was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has plenty of good options and breakfast was excellent. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very clean.

- good location close to town
- staff member was friendly and provided us with a refund after we decided to stay in a different hotel instead
- when we arrived it was clear there was a miscommunication as the staff member who checked us in didn’t expect us
- we had to check our booking.com account to tell the staff member how much we had to pay as they didn’t know
- card machine isn’t working at the moment so only cash
- shown to room through a dark and closed reception area/bar (at 17:30) with no mention of its opening times
- no wifi in rooms, only in reception area
- large spider right outside the bedroom door and unswept shower floor (outdoor shower) made it feel like the room had not been freshly prepared for us that day (also as they weren’t expecting us to check in despite our booking on this platform a month in advance)
- random stack of old cushions in the room at the back
- no tea/coffee making facilities available
- the room and bathroom generally felt quite damp and dank
