    Rooms have a terrible layout. 2 twin beds were laid out head to head like 2 train bogeys. Room was narrow and the soap dispenser in bathroom kept falling. Breakfast bread was terrible and most of the food was canned stuff. Boiled eggs were cold. Do not take a room on the 4th floor since elevator only goes upto 3rd floor.

    Our stay at the Meriton Old Town Hotel was a mix of good hospitality and unexpected disruptions. ​First, regarding the accommodations: if you are booking one of the rooms with bunk beds, you should know exactly what to expect. These rooms are highly practical and suitable for backpackers or solo travelers who just need a place to crash. However, if you are traveling as a couple, I would advise against it. The space is extremely cramped, and you will likely find it too small to be comfortable. ​On the positive side, the hotel itself is very clean. Furthermore, the staff deserves praise; they are genuinely well-intentioned, kind, and helpful, doing their best to make guests feel welcome. ​Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a major disruption. In the early hours of the morning, a false fire alarm went off, causing massive panic among all the guests. Waking up to that kind of chaos is incredibly stressful and completely ruined our night's rest. While the staff's good intentions are appreciated, this kind of operational failure makes it hard to fully relax during your stay. ​Pros: Very clean, friendly, and helpful staff. Cons: Bunk bed rooms are too small for couples, and the false alarm incident was highly stressful.
