Hotel & SPA Peña Montañesa

A charming and typical hotel, well equipped and comfortable. Drinks and dinner on the terrace were good with a wonderful Mountain View. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The pillows on the bed were not great!

Lovely hotel just below the mountains and not far from Ainsa (must see) staff and facilities were excellent

Out of season outdoor pool not open, not their fault but views stunning

Good building spacious rooms reasonable size pool nice for tranquil break in good scenery. Spa was appreciated mid afternoon as my friend had whole complex to herself (notice later was more busy). Convenient for Ainsa as well as the surrounding countryside with the spectacular reservoir lake.

Breakfast was pretty dire not fresh if came down towards middle or end of time open not replenished either so less choice of what in the first place wasn't very varied or great quality. Main saving grace was the cake that definitely had that home baked texture as well as taste others seem to cotton on but once it had gone it had gone. Compared to other Spanish hotels have stayed at this breakfast was poor. the only saving grace being able to take the food out on to the very nice terrace.

The entire hotel, including room, bathroom, pool, etc etc, was very nice and well-maintained.

The parking lot was pretty spacious, but I feel it was still a bit too small (considering guests of the hotel AND the restaurant had to park there). The restaurant was HORRIBLE. I’ve eaten at a lot of places and restaurants, but the quality of the food was simply abysmal.
