Pēc deviņiem vakarā apkārtne ir kā izmirusi. Lai paēstu vakariņas, ir jādodas uz vecpilsētu.

Nice, clean, great breakfast, parking.

I asked for a quiet room and the receptionist told me all their rooms are quiet. She obviously haven't slept in any of them. Our room was really loud from the traffic, especially trams making noises. The curtains could not be pulled to the end, so no total darkness possible.

The room was clean. Breakfast was varied, fresh and tasty. Parking available free of charge.

There was a very strong chemical smell, maybe of paint, wallpaper glue or something else, no idea what it was, but opening the window did not help. Outside there was a very loud noise, I suppose it may have been an air conditioning unit. I don’t know but it was very loud. Also water would not drain from the sink. I washed my hands and a pool of water just stayed in the sink. I pushed the water into the pipe with my hand a few times and it started draining, but unclogging a sink drain should not be my job. And finally, I felt the lady in the reception was rather unfriendly: no welcome, no smile, when I said in Polish I have a reservation - which sounds very similar in the Slovak and English language, she just kept staring at me as if in the hotel reception context I was asking her about her life story. Official rather than friendly. A bit surprising.
