Pension Spreewelten – Review I really enjoyed my one-night stay at Pension Spreewelten in Lübbenau. The location is extremely convenient, especially for travelers arriving by train, as the pension is right next to the train station. I stayed in the “Himmel und Wasser” room, which had a bed designed like a traditional Spreewald Kahn (boat). I thought this was a very unusual and charming feature, and it made the stay feel like part of the Spreewald experience rather than just a place to sleep. I also liked that the rooms have different themes. My room faced the railway tracks, so I was initially a little concerned that it might be noisy. However, once the windows were closed, I hardly heard the trains at all, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the room was. The room and the rest of the accommodation were very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a place to leave your luggage, which is convenient. One thing to be aware of is that the reception is not staffed at all times, but the accommodation provides information about this in advance and makes arrangements for guests arriving outside reception hours. There was no air conditioning or fan in my room, as far as I could tell. This wasn't an issue during my stay because the weather was already quite cool, but it might be worth keeping in mind during warmer periods. Another nice benefit was the additional perks included with the booking, including free access to the spa. Breakfast was served at a hotel a few blocks away rather than at the pension itself. This worked well for me because the hotel was in the center of Lübbenau, so I could have breakfast and then continue into town for sightseeing and my boat trip. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily stay here again. The convenient location, cleanliness, friendly service, and especially the unique themed rooms make Pension Spreewelten a memorable place to stay in Lübbenau.

Alles war perfekt. Sauber, ruhig, tolles Spreewaldambiente und dazu noch recht günstig. Freundliches Personal. Das Frühstück in der Stadt war hervorragend. Komme sicher wieder hierher.

The location is the main advantage for the people travelling by public transport. The hotel is easy to reach, the sound isolation is good enough to block the noise from the train tracks, located right behind the window. Hotel provided one pair of one-use earplugs for the whole stay. Price is low compared to the other places in the area. Wifi was working well.

There is literally nobody there for you. Arriving later than 2 pm on Friday, i had to pick my key at the restaurant nearby. And i had to rush because it closes rather early. On Saturday nobody was there aswell, and the emergency phone, stated on the entrance door, was sending directly to the voice mail. And the only way to meet someone to pay and return the key was to wait until 9 am on Sunday. That means if you lock yourself out of have a drunk neighbour singing songs in the hallway middle of the night (happened to me on Friday), there will be nobody to help. Only on my last morning i found out that there was a small kitchen with tea, coffee and fridge at the opposite end of the corridor. I like contactless ways of handling things, but not when it is so poorly organised. Breakfast venue is also located somewhere else, can't say anything about it because it was only available from 8. My room was eery, decorated with photos of creepy girls in white dresses in a forest, wall by bed covered with dirty handprints.
