Reserve II 10-D

The Google Maps directions to the property was incorrect, but thankfully, the host knew that and provided detailed instructions and a map on how to get to the property.

The property was nice, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was adequate and the furniture was in good condition. The things that we didn't like was that there is no overhead light or ceiling fan in the master bedroom. The owner has rigged two lights directly onto the headboard, which is not ideal. Also, because of the "cutesy" decorating the owner did in the master bedroom (stools and a trunk for side tables), there was no really good place for my husband to situate his c-pap machine. Also, there isn't a lot of good lighting in the living room. There is one small table lamp, which isn't really sufficient for lighting the entire room without using the overhead light. When watching television, use of the overhead light is not preferred. Extra pillows and a blanket for each bedroom would be nice also, especially since it can get really cold in Sugar Mountain in the wintertime. Lastly the 10:00 a.m. check out time is really a drag. We had the whole day to spend in the area and we had to get up early to pack up and vacate the property by 10:00 a.m. I requested a later check-out when I booked the stay, which I was told that I would be notified of the possibility during our stay. No one ever contacted me about the late check-out and the night before we had to leave, I had to send an email to Vacasa to find out if we could check out later. Unfortunately, I didn't see the response until the next morning, so it was a rush to pack up and leave by 10:00.

Quiet had all the essentials and had a good view.

No curtains in master bedroom. Rug in family room is a trip hazard.

This place was incredibly clean! As soon as I walked in I can smell it. The location is perfect, close enough to Grandfather Mountain. The comfort of the rental was perfect for my family of 4.

I couldn’t find the dumpster to dispose of the trash. Not a big deal but more specific details for the unit would be nice.

Everything we needed was found in the condo! It was super clean and smelled amazing as soon as we opened the door. The view from the balcony is gorgeous! The beds are comfortable and my son slept on the sofa and while it isn’t a pull out, it slept comfortably. Plenty of towels and washcloths and the washer & dryer work perfectly (there are even a few washing pods and dishwasher tablets provided, which came in handy!). The drive up the mountain is lovely! We will be back!
