About this house rental

While vacationing in this home you'll have 600 square feet of beautifully custom built private living space on the second floor above the quiet downstairs Helios Arts Center. It has one bedroom and a bathroom to the north and a larger living area on the naturally sun-lit south side. The fully functioning kitchen/dining area is open to the living space where you'll find a hide-a-bed couch and Comcast cabled TV/WiFi. Winter renters need not fear cold feet as the in-floor radiant heat will keep you nice and comfy.

611 Sopris Avenue is a block away from Sopris Park, home of the Mountain Fair and many fun-filled activities for all ages. One more block of walking brings you to downtown Carbondale, a great little town with its own pool, unique shopping and first class yummy restaurants.

Carbondale, lying at the base of beautiful Mt. Sopris where the Crystal and the Roaring Fork Rivers meet, is filled with year round outdoor fun of all sorts in any direction you decide to go. Our rental is nestled in the heart of a gorgeous valley with Aspen at one end and Glenwood Hot Springs pool at the other, with a convenient RAFTA bus service connecting these locations. This is a wonderful place to visit!

To start, it’s larger than it looks in the photos. It is very well kept and clean. The windows let in lots of light and breezes. If you stay during the summer, open the windows at night to let the cool air in then close them in the morning; the place will remain cool. The kitchen is well equipped. The iron is fantastic. The washer and dryer are quiet and efficient. Close walking distance to parks and Main Street. The pull-out sofa is extremely comfortable! The host is amazing! We will definitely book again.

I felt relaxed and at home as soon as we arrived. The space has plenty of natural light, live plants, and artwork. The bed is super comfortable; the small kitchen perfect for preparing a simple meal.

Great accomodation with everything we needed. Would be petite for 4, but excellent for us. Only downside was the driver then buys to the aspen slopes, but that is a compromise we were prepared to make.

17 steps up awarded us this clean, bright & tastefully-decorated one-bedroom apt. with double sofabed, (perfect for our additional family member!) The apt conveniently has a modern stack washer/dryer set in a closet. The proprietor, Helena, was very helpful, providing information, as well as plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. She really showed genuine care for our needs & satisfaction. The apt is conveniently located to Sopris Park (around the corner), shops, restaurants & cinema on Main Street, plus access to the biking path & library just two blocks away. More commercial establishments, including The City Market, are within walking distance, or a short drive away. We had family to visit in Carbondale, but also enjoyed hiking, picnicking, and rafting, with easy drives to Glenwood Springs, including more shopping, dining, swimming in the hot springs, & entertainment. We also enjoyed visiting nearby Powell Art Museum, Redstone, Basalt, & Aspen as well. The local transit system is convenient & well worth taking to the city of Aspen & to the airport, especially to be able to safely view the magnificent surrounding scenery! And this VRBO apt is in the middle or it all! Thank you Helena!

The apartment was clean and well stocked. There was plenty of local area information available. Instructions for the apartment we're reasonable, clearly stated and readily available. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren't much to speak of. The freezer didn't really work very well. There is no A/C and it was exceptionally warm during our stay. It got up to 92 degrees. There were fans but at 92 it was difficult to cool down enough to sleep comfortably. We enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. Loved that they compost! Would be great to have recycling available as well.

I stayed here so I could visit my new grandson. This property was a wonderful respite for me! Babies are exhausting. I have forgotten. The comfortable and welcoming hostess with really fluffy towels, full kitchen and some extras, with goings on in the area (which I didn't have time to use) were all there! I would book this property again, in a heartbeat!!!!!

This is our second time staying. We really appreciated the updated sofa bed. Everything is very clean, organized, and comfortable. The location is wonderful if you want to walk downtown to hang out or eat. We had a lovely stay. The farmer's market on Saturday is one block away. I highly recommend it!

We just completed a four night stay while visiting our daughter in Carbondale. The property is spacious with a perfect location a few minutes walk from all Carbondale has to offer. What a treat to stay in this very comfortable, cozy condo overlooking the owners lovely garden. The sunflowers were so sweet! The accommodations were perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed a quiet and efficient work space during the day with fast internet service.. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials. Linens and towels were very pretty, fresh and clean. There is a stream that runs parallel to the sidewalk. The sound of flowing water was a nice bonus, especially at night. The location is ideal. Easy walk through a quaint neighborhood to coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries, library and so much more. Helena was an ideal host. Easy to communicate with. Very conscientious and accommodating. Overall, our experience was ideal and we hope to visit again soon!

We had an excellent stay here! The owner, Helena, is very attentive and accessible. She saved our bacon twice: 1) printed up our Maroon Bells permit 2) we left our pillows behind and she responded right away and we were able to drive back and get them from the VRBO. The online VRBO photos are spot on. Very clean. Lots of detail, attention, and care has gone into this VRBO to accommodate guests and make their stay a comfy one. Bed is really comfy and best mattress in a while from all our stays at places. (We are Tempurepedic people so our standards run high.) Biggest heads up: Anyone that can't do lots of stairs will not be able to stay here. See photos that clearly demonstrate the stairs.
