El Josemari Hostel

Very central, nice common area and clean bathrooms. Bonus point for having a charger by each bed.

You have to make your own bed. i arrived at 1am, and had to make a top bunk bed in the dark, trying to be silent and respectful to others. Inconvenient. Sheets were also no clean, with hairs stuck on them. Room was boiling hot, and I had to comedown again and ask them to turn the aircon.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. I booked a bed in a four-person room. The beds are curtained pods with individual lights and plug sockets as well as a large locker for gear storage complete with safe for valuables. The place didn’t seem overly busy when I stayed which meant no queues for the showers! There is a very nice kitchen/lounge area and the hostel is located in a quiet square in the old town. I had much more privacy and comfort during my stay than I had envisaged. Would definitely recommend.

Good communal, working area. Comfy beds, good showers, great location.

Rooms are too small meaning there’s barely space to open a suitcase. With each room fitting 4 people at a time, it can feel claustrophobic at times. To note; the “cabins” don’t actually have doors so they’re just curtains that barely cover the ‘entrance’
