Comfortable, cosy and clean. Couldn’t have wanted for anything more. Everything thought of. Welcome basket with eggs, milk scones, jam & cream a nice touch. Great for walking straight up on to the moor.
Nothing to say.

Very well appointed barn conversion on surprisingly quiet working farm with lovely views and close to great country walks. Check out the bathroom mirror for some magic!

A very quiet location with the option of walking to Dartmoor and the local Haytor straight from the door. A very generous welcome box on arrival. We stayed in February and it was very warm and had logs for a fire.
Make sure you book for a meal in the local pubs as they get very busy!

Handy location for the moor. Very well decorated and appointed. Quiet location and traditional building. Welcome basket was appreciated.
Difficult to find, needs more signage at the road entrance. Bath towels could be bigger. Shower wasn’t very hot and didn’t like the shower head. But overall, it is a lovely place and we had a great stay.

A little cosy cottage gem on a lovely working farm. Carole and Russell were exceptional hosts; welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. We had an issue with the boiler coming on at night and they had an electrician and plumber out the very next day and the problem was fixed! Very comfy beds, free wi-fi and great bathroom and kitchen facilities. Lots of leaflets and brochures for the local areas, Dartmouth and Devon available in the cottage.
The welcome basket of scones, jam, cream, milk, eggs and and bottle of wine was a very thoughtful and lovely touch. Comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxing and bird watching; friendly farmyard kittens and we were also introduced to the bouncy/happy Swiss Valley blacked nosed sheep!
Be prepared to navigate down and through a few windy country roads and lanes. Would recommend having a Sat Nav and/or a detailed map to hand. But this was expected and added to the whole holiday experience of staying in a cottage on a working country farm.
During our week we visited Buckfast Abbey (free parking), Exeter (park and ride is a must!), Torquay (great boat trip around the coastline), Haytor Vale (just down the road), Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbott, Dartmoor prison museum, Dartmoor national park and lots of little villages.
Would also recommend Ullacombe Farm Cafe & shop (about 10 mins drive from cottage) for home cooked food or afternoon tea. Great for families as they have indoor and outdoor play areas and children can feed the farm animals.

A very quiet place in beautiful surroundings finished to a high standard. Friendly owner who left a welcome basket for us.

This is a lovely barn conversion in an old farmyard. The owners (who are very friendly and helpful) still live in the farm house and work the surrounding land. The kitchen is well fitted and stocked, the seating is comfortable and there is the additional convenience of a downstairs toilet. Upstairs the bathroom is modern and spacious, and the bedroom is nicely furnished. The heating also works! There is outside seating on a little patio in the old yard. The location is tucked into a wooded valley on the side of Dartmoor, and you can walk up onto the nearest Tor.
This is lovely accommodation in a fabulous spot - but there are a couple of things to be aware of. Firstly, the floor is slate and therefore cold so you'll need slippers or indoor shoes, as outside can be muddy. Secondly it is reached through some miles of typical Devon lanes - that's why it is in such a quiet spot so close to the moorland. These lanes are very pretty but they are also narrow, single track roads with few passing places and therefore slow going.

Great cottage on a farm. Great views over the hills, and right next to dartmore. Cottage is nicely furnished and we appreciated the Xmas decorations in the apartment, including a Christmas tree.
My kids thought the bathroom was the nicest bathroom they have ever seen.
You need to be prepared to drive down some nice small lane way's to get in and out.
Cottage was nice and warm, and also has a fireplace.
We also had some scones, jam, cream and wine provided on arrival, which was nice.
Nothing, except the rain 😉

Excellent stay in a lovely location. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and a wonderful cream tea and wine were very kindly left on the kitchen table. The Hayloft has a lovely homely sitting room with rustic touches, a well appointed kitchen, great bathroom with spacious walk in shower and bath and very comfortable beds. The property has a private access through woodland to the top of Bagtor which was a real bonus.

The attention to detail in this cottage is exceptional, luxury in a farmyard setting. Great welcome pack, a well stocked kitchen and very friendly hosts.
They even laid on the weather, 4 great days a stones throw from Dartmoor, terrific.
