Konkashken Lodge

The location was so beautiful and the cabins really cozy and comfortable. Our kids loved playing with the dogs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast each morning in the main lodge and it was very good as were the two dinners we had during our stay. The location is fantastic, at the edge of Rio Serrano “village” and a short drive to the entrance of the park (Torres del Paine).

We were here in the fall and the cabins do get cold at night so you need to be comfortable with getting the fire going in the wood stove. They provide tons of firewood and starter. Also I believe they would start fire for you too. We were fine keeping it going on our own. Also, when you read bring snacks, food, supplies etc. make sure you do. There are no stores to buy supplies. Also make sure you have full tank of gas before you leave Puerto Natales, there are no gas stations at the park or on way to it other than Puerto Natales.

Location is amazing. Staff were friendly and really tried - espcially Patrick, the owner - he was a great help when we ran into some trouble.

There is no electric or gas heater in the cabins: there is a fireplace, so in April (when we visited) you had to make a fire from scratch every night and every morning. Meaning the room temperature is either too cold or too hot - with a brief period where its right. Having a small bar fridge in the cabins would have save dwalking to/from the main building multiple times per day. While this is not in the control of the lodge - the road into the Serrano is terribly pot-holed: we were the third guests that week to get a flat tyre on our rental car (all the roads in / around Torres del Paine are horribly pot-holed, so this is not a specific issue with the accommodation, but something to be aware of.
