Great quiet location, but for the price we paid I would have expected much better furnishings and equipment.

Great location, spacious terrace, and most lights had dimmers on them.

All the furnishings were very old which in itself isn’t a bad thing, but the TV was very old and had very few channels in English and no access to streaming platforms like Netflix. The frying pans were all badly scratched and in very poor condition. The king size bed seem to be turned the wrong way and very hard to walk around the bed or open the cabinet doors because of it. Our host, Karl had built an iron frame to make it longer on one side, but this made the situation even worse as I bump my knees on it at night. The holder for the shower head was broken and kept falling down.. you could not use the intercom to let people in because the host insisted that the bottom door be double locked. I’m a landlord myself and have a number of Airbnb’s so I tried to point out a few things to our house Karl in a nice way. I even went so far as to send him a link where he could buy new Samsung 44 inch flat screen tv for a little over €300 . Regrettably his answer was “I don’t listen to complaints“ and that I was very ungrateful. I had tied a line around the showerhead to hold it up, and he yelled at me please get rid of that ugly piece of line!

Lovely spacious apartment with backyard and great location

The property is located in a beautiful part of Hamburg, with easy and quick access to the city centre and lots of shops and restaurants in the nearby. The apartment was spacious, quiet and very clean with a lovely backyard at the back. Our host Karl was very responsive, super helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Hamburg is great City but stay somewhere else

It was quiet

The landlord was difficult. Easily upset if I had a question or concern. Took it personally. Also, the main doors locked from inside so in case of fire, this would be dangerous. There were several safety code violations( light bulbs that were separated from their sockets and taped )- in kitchen and bathroom. Living room chair was broken- it would only recline not pull up. One light bulb out in living area.

Cozy and well located.

Before moving in, all tenants need to fill out personal and passport information related to taxation. Additionally, you need to print it out and provide it to the landlord. The first floor plumbing motor was broken on the first day we arrived, so we had to stay on the top floor. Overall, the top floor is not bad, although it is smaller than the first floor, but the lighting is much better than the first floor. Overall, it is also very clean. We originally booked for four people to stay, but the other two came a few days later. When they came, the first floor had been repaired. The landlord let them live on the first floor, except for the kitchen. The landlady keeps the rooms very clean. They include drinks and coffee in the refrigerator for no charge.

In summer, if you stay in the house during the day, you might feel very hot. There is a small fan on the roof but it cannot be used. It is recommended not to stay in the house during the day in summer.

Karl was an excellent host, very friendly and gave us good tips on the city. You can tell that he really cares for his guests The apartment was very comfortable and located in a very nice neighborhood. Metro was few minutes walking from the house, within 15 mins you could reach all the places of interest

Superb

Karl is an excellent host. I stayed with my friends at the ground floor of the villa. There was plenty of space for five people. The place is a super authentic and gives you a real taste of the classic Hamburg life. Eppendorf is one of the nicest parts of town and it’s super well connected to the rest of the city. I really enjoyed the coziness of the house and the garden, and our random conversations with Karl were very pleasant as well.

I really enjoyed everything, since I like the classic style. Not for people that are only into modern style.

Very good

Nice apartment in 19th century house in beautiful neighbourhood. Very convenient for a family with older children to return to by U-bahn after a day well spent in the centre of Hamburg. There is a fully equipped kitchen but we only used that for breakfast, as there are a lot of easy going places for dinner in the area.

Sehr nette Wohnung; super sauber; praktisch & vielseitig eingerichtet. Liegt sehr ruhig in einem wirklich schönen Viertel. Parking ist nicht immer einfach zu finden & den Preis fürs Parken kann man mit Besucherausweis für 3€/Tag haben. Die Wohnung(1.Stock) wirkt auf den Fotos nobler/edler. Ist aber sehr schön & sehr "cozy" Der Eigentümer ist witzig; originell & charmant

没有早餐，但是周边吃饭逛超市都非常方便。房子是老宅，房东住最上面一层楼，很安全。一切设施都很古老，但是很温馨，卫生很好。付费洗衣服服务也很不错。房东是个非常热情和蔼的小老头，很好的一个人。我认为下一次来汉堡我还会选择住在这里。
