Il Geco is an independent solution, completely renovated, of about 45 square meters with a splendid sea view.
A characteristic seaside village is located in Praiano
place between Amalfi and Positano (about 12 km from Amalfi and 6
km. from Positano).
To reach the apartment from the highway is
just take 49 steps.
"Il Geco" is located in the center of Praiano, so much
well served and within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants.
To reach the sea (platforms) you need to go
300 steps, the staircase starts right from the house and yes
winds between characteristic Mediterranean houses and gardens
which alternate with rock walls, all in one scenario
highly scenic.
The nearest beach is the Gavitella Beach, one
very characteristic beach. Can be reached at
walk along about 250 steps that alternate with
small lanes.
Another beach is the Praia Beach, located in a
natural scenery of extraordinary beauty, it is
reachable by bus (5 minutes).

We loved our stay here and wish it could have been longer! Communication was excellent and very accommodating!
The walk down to the unit does have some steps so be aware if you have heavy bags/suitcase.
The house is very clean, has a very nice kitchen and bathroom, and the bed is so comfy! Beautiful view too! We loved our stay and the wonderful communication made it even better.

We had a very nice stay in Praiano at Casa Il Geco. It was a beautiful, nicely decorated private house with a great view of the water. We had a small kitchen that helped with our breakfasts and lunches. The bathroom was nice, except we had an issue with one of the shower nozzles. It wasn't able to be fixed during our stay, but some money was given back to us for this reason. Raffaele, who was in charge of the property and dealing with us, was very kind and generous with his time. He gave lots of advice about the town and activities we could do, and was always ready to answer our questions on WhatsApp. There was also an issue with quite a few ants coming into the kitchen area, but again, Raffaele was very prompt with his responses, and the issue was dealt with quickly. We would recommend staying here, if you want to enjoy what Amalfi Coast has to offer without dealing with the craziness of Positano. One downside of Praiano is that there is no Ferry stop there, but it is a short bus ride to Positano or Amalfi if you want to get a ferry. Praiano is quiter, has everything you need, some nice rocky beaches (be ready to walk down and up many steps), and it feels like you are around more actual local people. We had a great stay.
