Salee Hostel

very comfortable place , staff , she is very helpful lady, knowing i wish to have the choice of lower bed, once available, she has suggested me to shift without my further request. Heartfelt aporeciation! Drinking water, coffee, snacks , bread, banana all days supply with complimentery. also, a small self svs kiosk station at the common area. last but not least, seltered roof top for those who want to hang their wet clothing, hangers are available. i have extended several times after only first night booked. i be back again!

The hostel was amazing, it wasnt a party hostel so that’s a plus for me. Tucked into a street corner so there is minimal/no noise at all. Good thing is the AC isnt monitored that much so you can get away with having it on the whole day. The staff was also really friendly and nice too, it’s close to SP chicken (they have really good chicken in Chiang Mai) and also, a coffee shop with one of the best owners. So, you won’t be hungry. I’ll definetly stay here again when I am back in Chiang Mai. Thanks for making my first time in Thailand amazing. I couldn’t add pictures but it’s good.

I have stayed in many hostels, but this one pleasantly surprised me. What impressed me were the beds. They are designed so thoughtfully that even in a shared dormitory you still feel a sense of privacy, safety, and personal space. You never feel exposed or crowded by other guests. The mattresses are comfortable, and the bed linen is genuinely clean. Cleanliness deserves special praise here. All rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are cleaned daily. The hostel is maintained to such a high standard that even the most demanding German travelers would struggle to find anything to complain about. Each guest has access to a personal locker, which adds an extra sense of security and convenience. The ground floor offers several well-designed common spaces. There is a kitchen area where guests can make tea or coffee, prepare a simple snack, and use the refrigerator. Drinks and instant noodles are also available for purchase. There is a dedicated coworking space with a comfortable work desk and very fast internet, which is especially valuable for remote workers. In addition, there is a pleasant outdoor area for smokers and anyone who wants to relax in the fresh air. The garden is beautifully maintained, full of plants, and very peaceful. The entire building feels thoughtfully designed and harmonious. The bathrooms are compact but extremely well planned and functional. There is enough space for everyone, and guests never get in each other's way. As a solo female traveler, I felt particularly safe and comfortable here. Everything you might need is provided, including towels and slippers. One thing that is especially important to me personally is fresh air and good sleep quality. This hostel exceeded my expectations in both areas. All rooms are equipped with fans and modern air-conditioning units that work efficiently and are not outdated. The rooms are well ventilated, and fresh air circulates throughout the building. I slept exceptionally well during my stay, which is something I cannot say about many hostels. Despite the building's compact size, it feels surprisingly comfortable and spacious. The location is excellent. The hostel is situated on a quiet street directly across from the largest temple in Chiang Mai and near a school. Some rooms have north-facing balconies. Within walking distance you can find massage shops, cafés, laundries, ATMs, and a vegetarian café on the next street. There is also a scooter rental nearby offering modern, well-maintained bikes. I would also like to mention the staff. The administrators are responsible, professional, and speak good English. They are always willing to help and clearly care about maintaining a high standard throughout the property. I chose this hostel as a base for daily cycling trips around Chiang Mai and into the surrounding mountains while continuing to work remotely. It turned out to be the perfect choice. It is equally suitable for working, relaxing, and exploring the city. My rating: 12/10. I would happily stay here again.
