    A lovely old hotel in an interesting, historic setting. Unfortunately trains,level crossing noise & traffic kept me awake much of the night.

    A quick visit to Guildford did not disappoint. The room was lovely, clean, spacious, with a couple of chairs and a coffee table. Plus a nice modern bathroom. There isnt a wardrobe, but there are a couple of hangers and a few hooks to put your next day clothes on.

    The proximity to the airport was the main reason for me to select the hotel.The entrance to the rois are located on a side road and the check in is through the bottle shop outside, which is a bit confusing. The AC unit was not working correctly in the room I choose and hopefully this will be fixed by the management soon. Overall it's a good place to stay if you are planning to go to the airport to catch a flight the next day.

    Checkin instructions was very clear as we arrived after 10pm.. Did not realize that there were stairs to get to the room. Room was clean. Bathroom sink was shallow and the tap was low, so it’s not practical.. Unfortunately sound proofing was not good. Noise from the train, planes and some sort of generator that runs throughout the night can be heard. Even though the heating was working the room strangely remained freezing cold. We only stayed one night , overall it wasn’t a comfortable stay after a long flight as we didn’t get any sleep.
