Perfect place to stay en route to the Bay of Islands

We loved the property which was set amongst beautiful, well kept gardens. The cottage is perfect for families, seniors or couples and has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. We were given excellent instructions on how to find it, and we slept well as it was so quiet. The town is a short drive away and has several restaurants (McLeods was excellent). The only reason I didn’t give a 10 rating is because of the dusty bookshelves and some spider webs. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay!

We were asked for extra money $40.00 a night for the second bedroom which is not mentioned on the website. We did not end up paying it. We booked a two bedroom villa and surprised.

Not Nigel's fault that I forgot to mention that I am allergic to feathers. The lovely warm duvet was, I believe, down or feathers and possibly so were some pillows and cushions. My fault - I should have checked. I thought turning right out of the property onto SH1 might be difficult but we were lucky with the traffic.

Very spacious tidy home with a great layout and space. Good bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Lovely Gardens in a rural setting. Easy walk or bike into Waipu town.

Stylish and relaxing cottage

Absolutely adored the eclectic decor. The mid century furniture pieces, the art prints and knick knacks. The garden was stunning and provided a green canopy of calm and privacy. It was super close to Waipu and a great base for our surf comps.

When booking be aware if you book for two you only get one room, as my Aunty wanted a room also it was an extra 60.00$.Booking a villa should be whole place and all beds made.

Cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. It has a very beautiful garden with so many different flowers. It's close to the beaches, caves and waterfalls. Really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely perfect, clean quiet house with everything you needed and close to Waipu township.

I was very fortunate I door knocked well after 6 pm with my very late booking. I was greeted with such welcome, I was very grateful. I could not want for anything, the house had everything you needed and more. The kitchen had all cooking things with all the finishing touches. The bed was comfy, the hosts have truly left nothing out. It was quiet and peaceful which was the escape I needed. There was an additional sitting room with a very relaxing chair that was just perfect.
