Our favourite place that we stayed at in Puglia. Francesco is super friendly and helpful, sent us some really great recommendations and also offered us fresh towels even though we only stayed for 4 nights. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. Laterza is also a really genuine and interesting town with not much tourism, we had a lot of fun exploring.
The kids and locals often hang out in the streets outside the apartment throughout the night and talk loudly. It was a bit annoying when you're trying to sleep. We ended up asking them to be quieter, and they responded graciously, so all was good in the end.

A beautiful restoration of an old house in the old town. I came across this property when looking for accommodation around Matera. Laterza turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Puglia. The restaurant recommended by Frankie was literally the most authentic we have ever eaten at in Italy. Delicious food. No tourists. The gorge of Laterza is as dramatic as the one in Matera, minus the crowds.
All perfect. It’s an ancient house, not a modern luxury hotel, so adjust your expectations.

Te molt encant. Molt ben decorat.
A la cuina, no hi havia sartén i l'obridor del vi estaba trencat. Els fogons de gas, no funcionava la xispa i vem haver de sortir a comprar un encenedor per poder cuinar.
