The mountain views from these riverside rooms are stunning. I spent a lot of time on the balcony. Its an industrial style building, not very appealing from the exterior, but its cool and open plan interior condradict that. My room was spotless, spacious, with plenty of luggage space, and large bathroom with picture window for views. It was private, secure, and quiet. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and polite. Buffet breakfast in the lower floor dining area was fantastic. I wanted somewhere with views, and while this is over my general budget, I'm very glad to have stayed there. I booked this on very short notice, as the accommodation I had organised was being renovated, totally unsuitable for guests.

I extended my stay 2 more nights, I had to pay more for a “better” room but it was the same if not worse than my cheaper room previously

The attached photos were taken from our room balcony. Exceptional views of the river and the mountains at the same time. Everything about this property is excellent.I highly recommend it.

Plus side: Beautiful location (great views of the river with each room and the pool deck having the view of the balloons at sunset). Good location for night market and more. Friendly staff who tried to help despite some communication barriers. They were very kind.

Downside: Overpriced (same cost as a 4 star property I stayed in that was perfect in every way / 4 times more expensive than a 3 star property I stayed in that was so organised and helpful and comfortable). Issues with room (no TV / broken lights in bathroom). Issues with communication / problem solving (pre arrival messages unanswered / unclear messaging on multiple fronts including payment on room, organising pick up and finding a time for room to be fixed / poor organisation with getting things fixed / staff there were lovely, but the management should be better set up with multilingual notices to support the staff and guests with FAQ). On final day as I was checking out, room cleaning complained there was dust on the towel / bed linen. It is dry season and the roads are very dusty. The first day I didn’t realise this so lay on the bed first before showering. After this, I realised and showered feet every time I entered the room and used a towel to dry them. However, me getting dust in the room was seen as a problem. I was surprised by how this was done and the impolite way it was done, as how are guests expected to not bring dust into the room in dusty dry season when there are no feet cleaning stations at the entrance of the hotel? It seemed like a lot was expected of guests (don’t bring dust into the room in dry season) but not much preparation of systems to prevent this. I won’t stay again which is a shame because the location is great and the reception staff tried their best and were very friendly. But the facilities and organisational systems to support communication are letting the place down. My much cheaper place was better set up and organised and good at problem solving therefore a more relaxing place to stay and all for a quarter of the price despite both being 3 star hotels.
