B06 - Top-Floor Marina 2 Bed Apartment

War alles wie beschrieben, haben uns wohl gefühlt und Lage ist sehr gut. Restaurant, Supermarkt, Strand, Städtchen, alles in Fussdistanz.

Location was brilliant, and the use of the pool a big plus.

Check in and out time, did not get keys till gone 5pm and check out at 10am. Not meeting at the apartment to collect the keys and being shown around was a negative.

There was no lift, unfortunately 50 odd steps to climb

Location is great. Walk to the marina, dining, groceries in minutes. Can walk to old town in 15-20 minutes. Cheap Ubers available if you don't want to walk. The unit itself was fine. Spacious with a nice balcony. Nice to have a washer in unit and a clothing rack for drying on the balcony.

The rental agency is terrible. Poor communication and no knowledge as to their own properties. We had to pick up the keys at their office, which was inconvenient. Then upon check-in, we discover that the air conditioning is not working and there are no access cards to the pool. The A/C and the pool are the top reasons we booked this unit. No response on WhatsApp messaging or Booking.com messaging. I had to walk 15 min back to the office in record heat to talk to someone. They did have someone come fix the A/C that night. But said they have no control over the pool keys and if the keys are missing there's nothing they can do about it. They also did not know which pools were included with this property (there is a pool on each side of the building, one was nice and one was disgusting and unkept). They offered us access to a pool at another property they manage which was a 5 minute Uber away - unacceptable. Then one that is a 10 min walk away - still unacceptable. We were told they would update us about the access keys but never heard back from them during our 6 day stay. So we had NO pool access at Marina Club for our trip. And we were refused any sort of refund for this. They take responsibility for nothing with very poor customer service. If I were the owner of this unit I would fire them immediately. Other issues (minor but worth mentioning): Lots of tiny ants in the master bedroom and bathroom. Also a HUGE cockroach running through bathroom. May be common for tropical location? Kitchen lacked some necessities like cutting board etc. No pool or beach towels to use. No lift and it is on the 3rd floor (to be fair, it didn't specifically say lift or no lift in the listing but we were surprised there was not one). Would not stay at this specific property again, although would consider another unit in this complex managed by a different company.
