Oamaru Harbour Nest

Great location, little hard to access if you are not able bodied, very steep driveway & path that leads to the room at rear of property, steps involved also. Nice room with reasonable kitchen facilities and adequate bathroom. Bed was quite comfortable, location is great for access to Oamaru Penguin & easy access to city centre. Great interesting city to wander around and explore, beautiful architecture, so much to see in the Information Centre.

No heater in the bathroom.

Nothing! (N.B. access is a walk up a steep drive and involves a number of steps, but the view is worth it!)

We happened to stay on a very cold night. The house was very cold when we arrived, and heating was not great. Wall heater was not very effective at sending heat downwards. A heat pump would have provided a much better distributed heat to the room. The driveway up to the house was very steep and limited what we could carry to the house. We would have preferred that this was identified in the initial description.
