Great location, lovely host and everything in order in the room. Especially liked the view and the lovely sunrise in the morning. Compact unit but also plenty of space. Enjoyed the books on the town of Oamaru that were in the room.
Just a little difficult to find in the dark as we were delayed getting there. Bit of a climb up so not for people who do not have good mobility.

We happened to stay on a very cold night. The house was very cold when we arrived, and heating was not great. Wall heater was not very effective at sending heat downwards. A heat pump would have provided a much better distributed heat to the room.
The driveway up to the house was very steep and limited what we could carry to the house. We would have preferred that this was identified in the initial description.
