It’s fabulous to stay in the traditional trulli house. They are 2 houses, it’s best to rent both of them so that you have your own huge private space: a colossal garden with vineyard, olive trees, a pool, several outdoor dining options (including on the roof of one of the houses! Stunning view from there!). The sunset is something magical here. John, the host and owner is very kind and always helpful. We had the house full of food and snacks on our arrival and did not expect that! You have several parking spots under the trees that provide shade. Everything was just perfect.
The place is 5 minutes away by car from Alberobello (beautiful but a little too touristy, still it’s worth a visit) and 10 minutes away by car from Locorotondo, which was such an amazing and unexpected find! This small town is super charming and very authentic, not so touristy as Alberobello but more beautiful in our opinion. Here you can find plenty of great restaurants and bars.
The accommodation is also 5-10 minutes away from a supermarket so it’s very convenient.
We loved it here!
Not necessarily something related to the property, but rather to the entire area: there are a lot of insects 😅 but you get used to them eventually.
Also it can get really hot in summer, but the small rock houses provide coolness so you don’t really need AC inside.
