About this cottage rental
This southwest-facing, luxurious 3,000 square foot cottage is situated on Lake Joseph with over 200 feet of shoreline, panoramic view and beautiful sunsets over the lake - two hours from Toronto. It features a large Muskoka room, a boathouse with a huge sundeck, a dock with clear, deep water for swimming and a hard-packed sandy area for shallow entry. Split-level design accommodates generational separation and offers walkouts to the deck on the main floor or to the Muskoka room from the lower level. There are 5 bedrooms that accommodate 11 people comfortably, 4 bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, 2 family rooms, games room, and laundry room. You are steps away from Rocky Crest resort and golf course where fine dining awaits.
Amenities include: fishing boat, canoe with paddles, two single kayaks, paddleboat, floating water-mat, 2 smart HDTVs (Netflix, etc.), wireless Internet, 2 fireplaces, central air conditioning, propane barbecue, ping pong table, hammock, lakeside storage, patio furniture, life jackets, and a fire pit.
A gentle walk from the cottage takes you to the sundeck atop the boathouse. There is swimming off the dock and access to the water toys. The boathouse offers storage space, paddles and lifejackets. There are comfortable chairs and loungers on the sundeck under a large umbrella.
The dock offers privacy in a picturesque Muskoka setting and the perfect spot to watch children swim and play in the shallow water.

This is truly a one of a kind place. Gorgeous views of Lake Joseph in a very high end and beautiful home setting.The home is very beautifully and very meticulously decorated - right out of Architectural Digest. My family has taken numerous VRBO vacations in homes in unique vacation venues across North America. Muskoka Sunsets was the most absolutely well equipped place we have ever visited. Everything has been thoroughly thought out from the user's perspective by the hosts, Mike and Maya. Both were highly responsive and communicative from the initial booking and as needed throughout out stay. Mike took the time to meet us for a property tour on arrival to show us the ropes. Very much appreciated and saved significant time in figuring out this new place and having us understand the numerous amenities and moving parts. Grills, pizza ovens, boathouse, dock, canoes & kayaks, peddle boat and a motorized fishing boat along with a great swim raft made this a great lakeside vacation. My kids and grand kids, who all rendezvoused here, had a great time using all of them. There are just not enough positives we can share about this property and owners. Muskoka Sunsets was a truly perfect family vacation destination.

This is a very well appointed cottage. Everything you need for the kitchen is there and the beds were comfortable. With a group of 10, we appreciated having 4 bathrooms and never had any issues with having enough hot water. They had a good collection of DVDs for the kids to watch and some games they could play, along with use of the ping pong table. It was also nice that the kids could use the downstairs living area and the adults could have a quiet space on the main floor.
There is sun for the majority of the day on the top of the boat house with some comfortable loungers for you to use. The deck on the front of the cottage is also a great place to hang out earlier/later in the day or if it's windy by the water.
The location is great - not far from either Rosseau or Port Carling and Mactier is very close if you need to pick up groceries. You are right by Rocky Crest resort and the marina, which was convenient as we had a jet ski dropped off there for us to use.
We definitely recommend this cottage.
