Everything especially the restaurant
8.0 / 10.0
Well located in town centre with all shops at hand reach. Their restaurant is pretty good too.
Although our room was clean, the bathroom was obviously getting old.

The evening meal was good and value for money. The waiting staff were polite and courteous. Breakfast was copious and varied.
Unfortunately there was a fair in the centre of Neufchatel when we were staying at the hotel. Almost all roads were blocked and after a 7 hour journey we drove round the town several times before having to abandon the car 10 minutes on foot from the hotel. Why not tell guests about the road restrictions and send them a map of how to access the hotel? A bad start to our stay.
The bed was quite small and there was only one bedside light.

Super location in the centre of town. Very friendly staff. Great breakfasts. Used for an overnight stay with the family.
Rooms together as we were a family. No bar.

We are doing a one night stopover here on our way back to Calais. This is an unprepossessing 2 star hotel - but with the most amazing restaurant! It is part of the owner run Logis de France group of hotels. There are 3 set menus with choices of gourmet courses on each one, and, impressively several "market dish of the day" type dishes which means they are fresh off the boat/from the butcher/from the fisherman. Both of us had fabulous meals, with a couple of cheeky amuse bouche thrown in. The cheeseboard had about 8 or 9 choices and was served from a device like the 70s globe drinks cabinet. The wine list was also impressive but not at a silly price. The restaurant was full so booking is recommended. The service from the team was excellent. A fantastic experience all round. Will we stay again? - you bet we will!
Some minor issues with the room that should have been resolved before our arrival:
- broken toilet seat
- flashing light bulb in bathroom,
- loose rail for accessing the bath
The room was large compared to chain hotels of a similar price.

The food was excellent. At breakfast time the tables were fully set possibly in a slightly old fashioned way but one that demonstrated that the highest standard were being delivered.
I think that they may have had a problem with damp in the bathroom but otherwise the room was perfectly acceptable.

The evening meal was very good and well priced
The room and shower were all rather tired

Dining room & outside eating was lovely. The food was excellent & staff very attentive .
FRiday night in the town was noisier than the previous Tuesday, but not fault of hotel. Nor was the loud residents that came back late & disturbed everyone!

The restaurant was decorated very nicely.
Rooms, especially the bathrooms are very old and tired. The food in the restaurant was very nice and well presented. However it was very rushed with each course presented with no break. The staff were miserable and made you feel most unwelcome.

Good location in the town centre. Bike storage available so suitable for cyclists like us. Clean and comfortable.
Plumbing a bit noisy, especially at night, but not a major issue.

Would not serve drinks (hot or cold) on the terrace.

The food was very good.
The bathroom desperately needs an upgrade. The shower was awkward to use and water went everywhere. There was no hand soap provided only shower gel and shampoo. When you filled the basin you could not empty it without fiddling about below it.

Great location in the centre of quaint village. Dog friendly in rooms, although not in the restaurant or bar. Nice terrace and garden. Lots of free, public parking behind the hotel. Restaurant food was absolutely fantastic. Recommend you book.

Well situated near motorway. Easy run to Calais.
Good breakfast .
Room small but fine for one night
Pleasant town.
A little disappointed that I was not able to have dinner in the hotel
Good Italian restaurant in the town near by.
9.0 / 10.0
The outstanding feature of this hotel is the restaurant. The food is of a very high standard with a good range of choices on the menu. The prices for the quality on offer are extremely reasonable.
The bedroom had seen better days and could do with updating.

A comfortable, clean hotel located in the centre of town but still in a peaceful location . The restaurant served fresh local food which was delicious and a good wine menu too.
The only slight issue was we had a smaller room than usual. When we have stayed in the past we have had the front rooms which are larger with views over the terrace.

The restaurant is surprisingly good: both the food and the service. The hotel is easy to find and this town is a good location for people who want to take the Eurotunnel into England in the morning. There is parking nearby although not precisely at the hotel.
The walls are paper thin and the curtains are sheer. You will need earplugs and an eye mask if you want a good night’s sleep. I also didn’t like the square pillows and even though I’m only 5’5 the single bed felt nearly too small. I had asked for a double but it was just two singles pushed together. The rooms really do need a refurbishment.

Pleasant clean hotel located in the centre of Neufchatel with an excellent restaurant and in the summer a very pleasant outside terrace though check in advance that as a resident you will have a reserved seat - on one very hot evening we were made to eat indoors.
Only that we were not transparently informed in advance that the restaurant terrace was fully booked.

A quiet location off the Main Street. We ate in the restaurant and the meal was very reasonably priced and excellent. A good breakfast too.
