Apartment in Champagny
Location was fantastic. 5 minute walk to the gondola and village. 2 minute walk to the supermarket. Beautiful views from the balcony/ terrace.
Decor could be a bit updated.

Good if you like spiders
It is indeed really close to the lifts. Also there is a shop nearby.
This appartement has not been cleaned properly in a very, very long time as there where spiders and spider webs in every single corner of each room. See the pictures - one web had a dead butterfly.
We stayed there with 2 kids - 8 and 11. The younger one had nightmares throughout the holiday. The only good part is that the main room had two extensible couches so the girls could sleep close to us.
We contacted the host after our stay to inform them about this situation and we did’t get any kind of answer (not even an apology)
My assumption is that the host relies solely on the guests to clean the place, which is not acceptable from my point of view.

Good location within walk of the gondola. Comfortable sofa bed. Enough space for 2 people.
Due to character count limitations below, this part is related to the negative comments. The cleaning instructions are as follows:
"The studio should be left ready for the next guests to enjoy. Please use the brush and hoover to clean (also edges and corners). Please mop the floors using the stiff brush, red bowl and one of the cleaning towels as a mop. Please use the cream cleaner on the sinks, toilet and shower. Use the toilet gel and bleach plugholes. Fold all bedding and blankets and return to storage. Please wash, dry and store all cooking equipment. Wipe clean the fridge. Do not clean with scratch pads on nonstick kitchen equipment."
So if you would like the pleasure of paying more than 100 EUR per night to follow orders, please do so.
I had to initiate the conversation regarding check-in. At this time, 1 day before, I was told that I need to bring sheets despite it saying on booking.com that sheets can be provided at an extra charge.
1 hour before check-in I received an email regarding the actual check in details. "Keys are at the studio and accessed by a code. I will email you these details and directions, and cleaning information." I found the "cleaning information" particularly entertaining... So are we paying in excess of 100 EUR per night to clean the accommodation ourselves, I thought? I was right...
"We currently ask all guests to bring their own bed sheets and towels (1 Double Sofa Bed, and 2 Single Bunk Beds). We also ask our guests to leave the studio clean and tidy for the next guests - this is reflected in the self-catering nature of the studio and price. (please allow time to do this before departure)"
I would hardly say this is reflected in the price. I was also departing at 6h30 in the morning.
"Thank you for your booking, but please if you require a greater level of service perhaps our homely studio is not the one for you - in which case I have no problem in cancelling your booking, as I'd rather your happy with the conditions before your holiday. Please also bear this in mind as you read or leave any reviews."
There was literally no level of service... I had to initiate the communication myself. There were not even any garbage bags
in the accommodation. There is no one coming by the place. Not even a cleaner after we leave. Also, if I had received this email at the time of booking when I paid, I would have flat out cancelled it as I'm not paying more than 100 EUR per night to clean for myself. I would suggest a more appropriate price of around 60 to 80 EUR per night is realistic.
