NOCNOC - Le Babel

We had to move apartments straight after check in as this apartment was not fit for purpose.

The property was not fit for purpose - it was poorly maintained including 2 broken beds, it was not clean, the couch was stained, it did not smell fresh, and it had old appliances, heating and bathroom facilities. The whole check in process was automated with no human contact. There was no answer to any of the phone numbers provided when we called for assistance with the automated check in process (which was not clear to us as all instructions were in French). We ended up moving to an alternate apartment due to these issues.

The location was great so close to everything. You could walk everywhere if you wanted but the metro was very close There were little supermarkets and bakeries all very close to the flat. Also there was a great choice of restaurants all within a short walking distance

There wasn't a plug for the sink in the kitchen nor were there any dish washer tablets. One of the beds in the front bedroom sloped a lot so you got the sense you would slide out of bed. Locks on the bathroom doors would be good although you could see if they were occupied. More shelves in the fridge and freezer The water in the kitchen tap was very hot so maybe a little sign saying this,

Generously A/C was on at arrival , easy flexible access to property via lock box .

The beds were good and comfortable and if you like to wake up to a lovely smell of sewage you have come to the right place.

The cleaning was NOT acceptable. The refrigerator was disgusting and and I found old contact lenses from previous visitors on night table. The overall impression was that the apartment was dirty. The apartment advertises with 2 bath rooms, but in fact there is only 1 toilet (which by the way had very little toilet paper) with no sink. This means you have to wait in line for toilet visits when you are a larger group, and then wait in line again for hand washing. You get the feeling that the 2 bath rooms advertisment is only to get a higher rental price with no value for the client.

The positives first, the apartment is centrally located.

Unfortunately the furniture is run down and it's not clean. The sofa has stains and everything looks dingy, In addition, there is a deposit of 1000€ on top the overpriced rent It was directly debited from my account. The money will only be refunded after 1 week!

The apartment was already occupied for another clients. I had to sleep that night in another appartment (very small) and then change all the things on the following day. Both apartments weren't clean enough.

The appartment is located in a very old, dark and dirty building. As we walk in the hall of the building we could feel a very strong smell. The elevator only fits 2 person. Our appartment was not ready on time they said it would be so we only got in to the appartment at 5 oclock (and they only said it when we were already in the building). As we walking in to the appartment we could notice that it was VERY DIFFERENT than the photos we saw on booking, even the colours of the wall of one room were totally different!!! The only WC in there was so dirty and messy (see the picture below) !!!! The door lock was broken and it is very old and it needs a maintence urgently!!!!!! There was no photo of the WC on Booking.com, and we figured out why as we entered there. The kitchen was VERY DIRTY!!!!! We had to clean ourselves because it was impossible to use anything there. It was very awful!!! Also, they left a glass jug broken in the table. There was a luminere in the ceiling of the room that was almost falling down and it was very dangerous (see the picture). The 2º bathroom had an horrible smell and we couldn’t used it. The shower was broken (see the picture) . As we realized the terrible situation of the appartment, we tried to call the NOCNOC owners but they didn’t answer. We left a message on the voocemail, but they didn’t call us back. We contact booking.com and they didn’t get any asnwer aswell. After 2 days, as we sent them the pictures below the only thing they said after 2 days, is that they would send someone to fix ONLY the shower (and nothing at all about the other problems and not even about change us to another property!!!!!!!!!!!) In conclusion, we DO NOT recommend this appartment and it was the worst experience we ever had in booking.com. This said, this appartment its too expensive for offering such horrible, dirty and smelly rooms.
