Domus Hormiae

Un luogo spettacolare dove ho lasciato un pezzo del mio cuore. A due passi dal mare nel totale relax dove puoi godere della brezza marina ad ogni ora del giorno e della notte. Gisella la proprietaria una persona eccezionale, gentile e disponibilissima e non ho davvero parole per esprimerle un sentito grazie dal cuore. Una vacanza impeccabile, la casa spettacolare dotata di ogni confort, insomma parole non ne ho per descrivere una simile meraviglia❤️

Host Gisella. Een van mijn reisgenoten kreeg al op de eerste dag een behoorlijk ernstig ongeval. Gisella heeft hele dag met ons in het ziekenhuis gezeten om te vertalen en te kijken of alles goed ging. Ook in de dagen erna kwam zij langs, haalde medicijnen en lekkere dingen. Ze liet zelfs de arts aan huis komen. Gisella was een engel! En het appartement is net gerenoveerd, modern en fris. 2 prima slaapkamers, vrij kleine woonkamer met open keuken met alles erop en eraan en een spectaculair dubbel terras met vrij uitzicht aan het strand. Heerlijk.

From booking to leaving this place and Giselle the owner was wonderful. A hidden gem right on the beach. We booked here for a few relaxing days after 40° degree heat in Rome. We travelled from Rome to Formia on the fast intercity train. Not wanting to visit the Amafi coast due to the crowds this year we wanted a more quiet, less busy place. Giselle booked us taxi and was there to greet us at the apartment to show us how to settle in and use the apartment and showing us where the nearest restaurants and shops were. We used the beach everyday and we had access to sunbeds and an umbrella which was free of charge and was kindly put out for us every day by the beach staff. The beach and sea was perfect for families as it wasn't too deep and was clean. The apartment was well equipped and spotless Giselle provided us with beach towels as well. Air-conditioning was working and a must during the heatwave. The apartment was cool when it was hot outside and a great place to escape the heat. Giselle couldn't do enough for us during our stay, booking taxis and even picked us up one day when the bus service had stopped in the town to save us walking 30 minutes in the heat. This place is a hidden gem that is perfect for couples and families young and old. Will definitely recommend and return. Thank you Giselle we loved it. 😍

Domus Hormiae is a place that felt as a home away from home. The apartment was a couple of steps away from the beach and had a nice terrace with seaview. The appartement had everything we needed and was a cool place to stay in the heat. Gisella is such a fantastic and friendly host. So happy we’ve met her. She send us a lot of tips and is very helpful en interested. She is the best! We miss the place already. It is very easy to visit Rome and Pompeii and make day trips to interesting places. We’ve added Domus Hormiae to our favorite places in Italy:)
