Peaceful setting with a fantastic pool that could be used in all weathers. Extremely friendly owners who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We particularly enjoyed walking along the beautiful canal and our children enjoyed the nearby activities of kayaking and zip wires. An excellent stay!

So peaceful.
The owner was extremely helpful, we had a small issue but that was sorted out immediately, I would definitely go back.
Great location for exploring the area.
The Gite is kept clean, dont expect to get Chateau quality, what you get is ideal and everything works.
The spa was located at the bottom of the garden, which gave you great privacy.
The pool is salt water, heated and a good size.
The beds were firm but comfortable, its the one thing I normally criticise, but everyone said they were surprised how nice they were.
2 showers, the one down stairs is the best.
The kitchen is fully functional, but we didn't use it much.
I really dont understand why anyone moans i have stayed in a few Gites, this one has definitely hit my top 3!

Yes its basic, but extremely well kept.
If i was to be fussy the only 2 issues I would gripe about are as follows.
BBQ has seen better days could do with replacing, but it worked.
The outdoor umbrella needs a repair or could do with a change, thats it!

Mooie rustige locatie, ruime gite en tuin. Heel aangenaam verwarmd zwembad. Genoeg parkeerruimte. De vakantiewoning is goed uitgerust: 2 badkamers, 2 toiletten, voldoende keukenmateriaal, wasmachine alsook strijkijzer aanwezig. De 2 gites liggen naast elkaar, maar er is voldoende privacy.
De inrichting van de gite (vooral keuken en badkamer) is gedateerd. De woning zou ook een deftige poetsbeurt kunnen gebruiken. Jammer ook dat de spa maar tot 21u mag gebruikt worden. Bij onbewuste overtreding van deze regel, word je nogal bruusk en onvriendelijk op de vingers getikt (de andere contacten verliepen wel op een vriendelijke en correcte manier).

The home was well equiped with most of what you need in the kitchen, towels, robes and cleaning supplies. The area is nice and near a pictoresque river and path. The owner's family was available for questions throughout the stay.
The fireplace didn't work and despite requests for help to check on the problem, the owner insisted it was our fault, when clearly there was a blockage. This cancelled the only quaint and cosy element for the accommodation in winter. I was suprised that there was a cleaning fee hidden in the printed materials. The management and response to inquiries was largely left to the children who live in the main house. Dont expect a grill, it was located on the side of a huge industrial shed next to the property and disappeared soon after we arrived. There is no covered place outside to grill. To get to the pool after dark you must walk a dark, muddy path. The building exterior is charming, but interior is a sad missed opportunity for a really cosiness and charm fitting the building. Overall mixed feelings on this stay as there were ok elements like the location and size, but for this price I would have definitely chosen another accommodation that had much more charm.
