A relaxing stay in a beautiful, peaceful setting. 10/10!

Peaceful setting with a fantastic pool that could be used in all weathers. Extremely friendly owners who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We particularly enjoyed walking along the beautiful canal and our children enjoyed the nearby activities of kayaking and zip wires. An excellent stay!

Perfect Holiday

So peaceful. The owner was extremely helpful, we had a small issue but that was sorted out immediately, I would definitely go back. Great location for exploring the area. The Gite is kept clean, dont expect to get Chateau quality, what you get is ideal and everything works. The spa was located at the bottom of the garden, which gave you great privacy. The pool is salt water, heated and a good size. The beds were firm but comfortable, its the one thing I normally criticise, but everyone said they were surprised how nice they were. 2 showers, the one down stairs is the best. The kitchen is fully functional, but we didn't use it much. I really dont understand why anyone moans i have stayed in a few Gites, this one has definitely hit my top 3!

Nothing. I have seen some other reviews, remember its a Gite, not a Chateau. Yes its basic, but extremely well kept. If i was to be fussy the only 2 issues I would gripe about are as follows. BBQ has seen better days could do with replacing, but it worked. The outdoor umbrella needs a repair or could do with a change, thats it!

Great location and pool, not clean and not great communication skills to say the least!

The swimming pool and jacuzzi are great. The kids loved them. The location is very peaceful and next to the beautiful canal, perfect for dog walks. The kids play area was very good even though the weather didn’t allow for much playing there! There were a few issues with the electricity but the owners on site sorted it out very quickly. The hosts on site were very helpful in person and the house is a good size.

Before we arrived the hostess tried to charge us for the dog even though it clearly stated dogs were no extra charge in the advert. In the end no charge was made but we were asked to hoover and mop the floors! On the topic of cleaning, it wasn’t very clean. Lots of dead flies in the bedrooms. Dusty surfaces, not sure a cleaner went in before our stay. The oven was pretty filthy and smelly. To have linen on the beds you need to pay an extra €40 and the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. Then to compound everything I received an email after our stay accusing us of stealing the hairdryer and sofa cushions as we’d left them somewhere other than where they started (which kind of proves they don’t go in and clean as they’d have found the hairdryer in the bedroom cupboard and cushions doubled up on each other after we cleaned the sofa!). Such a shame as location and facilities are great, the hosts were very helpful and friendly when we were there but not very nice over messages before and especially after and I don’t think I’m the first to say this!!

Great cottage

Lovely cottage, quite place and we loved the privacy

Cleaning could have been better in places , considering we were the first guests for the season the accommodation could have been spotless. We wished we had a more specific list with what we can find in the kitchen eg:bin bags, washing up liquid, sponge etc so we don't have to bring everything

Great location in beautiful rural setting and fantastic facilities. The swimming pool in particular was fabulous everything we needed to hand including washing machine, dishwasher, kitchen equipment

Basic & adequate base in Brittany

The home was well equiped with most of what you need in the kitchen, towels, robes and cleaning supplies. The area is nice and near a pictoresque river and path. The owner's family was available for questions throughout the stay.

The fireplace didn't work and despite requests for help to check on the problem, the owner insisted it was our fault, when clearly there was a blockage. This cancelled the only quaint and cosy element for the accommodation in winter. I was suprised that there was a cleaning fee hidden in the printed materials. The management and response to inquiries was largely left to the children who live in the main house. Dont expect a grill, it was located on the side of a huge industrial shed next to the property and disappeared soon after we arrived. There is no covered place outside to grill. To get to the pool after dark you must walk a dark, muddy path. The building exterior is charming, but interior is a sad missed opportunity for a really cosiness and charm fitting the building. Overall mixed feelings on this stay as there were ok elements like the location and size, but for this price I would have definitely chosen another accommodation that had much more charm.

Hospitable host, plenty of space, nicely kitted out. The garden would be great in summer!

Location setting is subjective, it's really remote which is great if you like remote. It was fine for us and quiet roads means easy to venture out. Comfort level governed by small niggles.

Aangenaam rustig verblijf

Mooie rustige locatie, ruime gite en tuin. Heel aangenaam verwarmd zwembad. Genoeg parkeerruimte. De vakantiewoning is goed uitgerust: 2 badkamers, 2 toiletten, voldoende keukenmateriaal, wasmachine alsook strijkijzer aanwezig. De 2 gites liggen naast elkaar, maar er is voldoende privacy.

De inrichting van de gite (vooral keuken en badkamer) is gedateerd. De woning zou ook een deftige poetsbeurt kunnen gebruiken. Jammer ook dat de spa maar tot 21u mag gebruikt worden. Bij onbewuste overtreding van deze regel, word je nogal bruusk en onvriendelijk op de vingers getikt (de andere contacten verliepen wel op een vriendelijke en correcte manier).

Magnifique lieu, au calme, endroit paisible pour bien profiter. Très grand espace extérieur idéal avec les enfants. Piscine couverte qui ferme et chauffée vraiment super. Accueil très sympa. On s’y sent comme chez sois

Les gîtes sont idéalement situés à proximité du canal de Nantes à Brest pour de jolies balades. L'espace salon/détente au coin du feu était très agréable.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour mais je pense que le logement atteint tout son potentiel à la belle saison.
