Lots of parking and in a convenient location. above a nice public house serving a range and meals and drinks. Staff were very friendly - wifi ok
wifi came in a out a little but was enough to work. No offer of breakfast for those who want it - would be nice to have grabbed a coffee perhaps just add takeaway cup to the room

Perfect pub downstairs, cozy hotel, comfy bed, good value for the price
Extra bed was just sofa and room was smaller than we expect, but overall it was fine :)

Very nice building, with a very traditional English feel & atmosphere
The room was large, however the second bed was smaller than expected for 2 adults and not the most comfortable bed. The room could have been warmer.

Staff were great and really helpful
Seems like there’s a damp problem in one corner, window broken with little heating,

Good location, plenty of parking space, lovely hotel with character. Super helpful staff.
Mattress on the sofa was very thin and you could feel frame underneath

Dinner was excellent and good value
We stay there regularly
The room was a bit jaded and very hot. Only one window opens a small amount

Its location to the park was perfect. Lovely staff. Rooms are very comfy and offer excellent value for money. Lots of on suite parking.
Sadly don’t offer breakfast but understandable why not.

A lovely looking property, staff were great and location was great.
Closes very promptly so no after hours room service. We had a large family room, situated just above the kitchen, the fans went on at 9:30am Sunday morning and brought with it the strong smell of chip fat. No ventilation or opening window in the small bathroom.

You get what you pay for. Sadly these days £100 is relatively cheap. There's nothing wrong with this place. It's a good size, it was clean and comfortable but it's not going to wow anyone.
The whole place looks a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint, new carpets etc

Large room, comfy large bed, good shower
Decor was dated, could do with decorating

Rooms were spacious enough for our family of three.
There was a bar downstairs for food which had good deals Mon-Friday.
Would have liked to be informed about the certain hours/rules our son (2) wasn’t allowed in downstairs as we were kicked out several times but when we said we were staying upstairs it was allowed.
I way to cool down the rooms, room 2 was always very hot even with the heater off.

On arrival we were very impressed by this lovely Victorian building, it felt like staying in a stately home. Check-in is at the bar and it was busy (Mother's Day weekend) but we were quickly and politely dealt with. Staff were friendly and respectful. A member of staff (Gary) showed us to our room and carried our bags for us. Everything was fully explained and we could ask anything or ask for further items for the room. Our room (Family room) was spacious and well-decorated. The double bed was huge and comfortable with lots of pillows. The sofa bed was not so comfortable. As a family room, it may be better to have 2 single beds instead. There was plenty of storage space and a TV too. The room was lovely and warm when we arrived and felt very welcoming. The bathroom was clean and had a shower over the bath. It looked very well cared for and there was a nice scented hand-wash and shower gel. We had dinner in the restaurant which was lovely and arrived piping hot. There was plenty of choice from small plates to a 3 course meal. There is a large car park and the hotel was about 10 minutes walk from Prestwich where we were attending an event. It was raining as we were about to leave but taxis can be called by hotel staff. I hesitate to say this as it may not be possible for all guests, but Gary drove us to our event. Above and beyond Gary! We were very pleased with our stay and will be returning when we attend our next Prestwich event later this year. I read some of the previous reviews but can honestly say that things are definitely very different now.
The sofa bed in the room was not comfortable and creaked whenever my friend moved. We also felt that as as family room it might be better to have two single beds instead of the soifa bed.

The location. There is little else in prestwich
£345 for 3 nights. No breakfast. The room was in need of some renovation. There is a motor/pump which runs on and off all night and day

Good location.
Room a bit dated, walls and ceiling outside showed signs of damp which made room smell a bit. Shower not very powerful.

Great location and room. Very good food.
The only negative is that it does not serve breakfast. But that is my fault for not checking when I made the booking.

Will certainly stay again next time I’m in Manchester. Definitely a little gem of a hotel.
The only negative is that they don’t serve breakfast, but there are cafes etc close at hand so not a major negative.

It was a great room, nice shower, well equipped, great blackout blinds
Food was really nice in the pub, staff friendly
There was a noise ALL night, not sure if it’s a freezer, generator air con system or what but it hummed constantly so sleep was elusive 😢 Room 3

Good location, easy check in
Sofa bed wasn't comfy, almost a sheet for a mattress, no fridge in the room, bathroom was clean enough but very basic, toilet flush wasn't good. We had to use an ice bucket to flush the toilet manually

Small hotel above a large pub, nice quiet location. Pub well furnished, good menu, cooked well and reasonably priced. 10 min walk to tram station in to Manchester.
Breakfast not available as pub doesn't open until 12.

No breakfast. Early closing of restaurant

Good sized room, tea and coffee facilities, easy check in and out. It is above pub but no noise from the pub at all. Good parking facilities. Sofa bed was great for a family stay. Good standard of cleaning. Pub was nice for a drink in the evening with log fires. Bus stop outside with regular transport to the city.
The shower was a bit leaky, not a plug socket next to both sides of the bed but all very minor and a good stay for the price considering it was marathon weekend.

Was greeted with friendly staff to check in.
Fully explained everything, including early check out procedure.
Large room, nice bathroom. Powerful shower, plenty of hot water.
No problems at all. Would stay again and definitely recommend.

great size room, big enough for all 4 guests.
main bed was very comfortable.
the pull out bed was not as comfortable

scruffy / radiator didn’t work properly , broken toilet seat
in my opinion not fit for purpose , needs complete overhaul
8.0 / 10.0
it’s very clean and the staff leave you to your own devices.
But… it’s not cheap, and it could do with a phone in the room to call down to reception if there is something missing or wrong.
