Wonderful spacious yet homely property with loads of bathrooms

Door was unlocked, just walked in. Host came to say hello too

The 1 mile road to the property is a private road and has a terrible surface with severe potholes

This is the second time we’ve had our festive family gathering here, would highly recommend.

Big enough to fit all the family under one roof and everyone has their own bathroom / en-suite. Really like the real fire, very festive.

The approach road is a bit bumpy with a few potholes.

The house was was amazing, plenty of room and felt very cosy, probably the best I’ve stayed in. Excellent facilities and great for our group of 10.

A tasteful and quiet rural location with excellent facilities for larger group stays

The house was a spacious period property on a well managed historic estate. The main living room had plenty of seating. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great quality and very comfortable. The kitchen was well kitted out for larger groups and the dining room perfect for eating together and playing games. Nice space outside for garden chairs. Good public footpaths also on the doorstep and along the river.

A well facilitated house for groups, in a stunning location!

The house was very well equipped for a large group, there was lots of space and the grounds were beautiful!

The kitchen and sofas were a bit dated but functional and comfortable. It was a shame that the pool wasn't open considering the amazing weather we have been having, but understand that this is a big effort to run and we weren't expecting it to be when we booked for a April weekend.

Just what we needed to get family and friends together

The house was wonderful, fully equipped and so clean and stylish, we had a wonderful weekend , the garden the grounds all so well kept and the chapel was stunning , host where so welcoming and accommodating, I would highly recommend this beautiful home

Loved it. We didn't want to leave!

This is a stunning property, with a lot of history, beautifully presented & in a lovely location. It is very well equipped & everything throughout was immaculate. The log fire made for cosy evenings. The surprise gift selection & helium balloons in the lounge for daughter's 40th birthday celebration weekend was very much appreciated. A nice touch & very thoughtful of the owners. As a 3 generations party of 10, we all loved our stay & will definitely be back

It was a really lovely relaxed couple of days.

The house was very well equipped and had a lovely relaxed feel. We really appreciated the welcome basket (and the dog treats!) The hosts were very helpful when we realised we had forgotten birthday candies and brought us some. The frames with history of the house were really interesting too!

beautiful house warm and welcoming great location greeted by the owner given early check in to accommodate the 2 babies we had as well as a high chair and gates being fitted the welcome basket was a lovely surprise

Amazing break in a beautiful location

The staff were all amazing and helpful both prior and during our stay, answering any questions I had about places to eat and what was included in our stay to providing us with extra logs for the fire while we were there. They were very freindly, the grounds were beautiful and we loved our stay!

Christmas 2 at Prince Rupert House

Luxurious and peaceful We stayed at Prince Rupert house for a family Christmas 2 celebration on 27 December 2021 for 2 nights Our first impression was wow. And the rest of the house did not disappoint. All rooms were immaculate, comfortable, spacious and very luxurious. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed to prepare and cook a full Xmas dinner. Lucy was very professional and helpful, making our stay extra-special with Christmas decorations and presents under the tree for the children aged 1, 4 and 6. The expression on the childrens faces on seeing the presents was priceless. The house is located on an estate which is very quiet and peaceful with lovely walks around the woodland and lake. We would definitely return.

Tea on the Lawn

The house itself was spacious and welcoming. Plenty room for party of 12, huge bedrooms and plenty bathrooms. Sat in a private garden, with plenty garden furniture. Other beautiful gardens, croquet lawn and outdoor pool. Lovely walking round the estate and along the river.
