Its name describes it beautifully

It’s a lovely place for those who love to be surrounded by nature. Declan ( host ) is very welcoming and his dog is very friendly. Declan was awake until late night to welcome me and show me the place. He called to ensure I was not lost and kept in contact. Wifi is excellent. There is smart tv with Netflix for those who would like to watch movies and tv. I saw the deers crossing road on my return to the place few times in the evenings. I did not have much time to enjoy the nature. Will definitely come in future on my day off.

Nice place

Very convenient house, everything you possible need is there. Friendly helpfull owner. Hiking trails acros the road. The gasfire was cozy!

Upon arrival, the owner dubble booked the place, so those people where told to leave and he cleaned it in half an hour. It was not that clean. It is not enormous remote as aspected, but maybe this is a plus. The toilet does not flush well.

Wonderful

Really enjoyed my stay In The Woods. Declan is a great host and the maisonette was fantastic. No trouble finding the place with his accurate directions. Very clean and tidy with everything in good working order. Lovely fresh spring water from the tap! Netflix and YouTube on the tv and good WiFi too. Watch you don't bang your head at the top of the stairs with the low ceiling. Cosy bed and very good shower. All in all an excellent quiet place to chill out in.

Good value for the money.

The host and MIA (dog) was super friendly. The shower was great, nice and hot. The place was just what we needed, it’s not too fancy but is comfortable. If you’re looking for nature this property is for you.

Finding the property can be a bit tricky. The host is good about giving clear instructions on how to get there.

Declan was a very knowledgable host who did his best to make our stay memorable.

The property was well described. It was secluded and very quiet - deer in the garden! Ideal location for our needs.

Ladder to second floor was precarious and kitchen did not lend itself easily to self catering

Everything, the cutest little mini stone cabin literally in the woods as the name implies. The host and his little dog Mia couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Bed was super comfy and the place was spotless.

Location and quirkiness was perfect. Deer in the morning in the garden. Hosts were friendly. Bohemian feel. Bed was very comfy. Close to everything I needed.

Great rural location not far from Sligo town, worth going just to meet the host and hear his stories

The host was very friendly and helpful, giving us local tips and surfing tips. The location is beautiful and it was the perfect base for surfing nearby. We enjoyed walking the dog too.

The kitchen was fine for one night but if we were staying longer, cooking options would be limited.

The hosts Declan & Caroline greeted us on arrival and made suggestions about local interests and activities. The location of the property nestled in the woods is perfect. The property itself was compact and comfortable and had all the necessary equipment.

We didn't mind, but for anyone with mobility issues, the steps to upstairs are quite steep. There were no signs at all to find the place, but GPS did get us there

No signpost on gate Not suitable for more than 2 people. Ladder very dangerous Wifi intermittant, TV not working, external area totally abandoned, barbeque area not cleared with old dishes, umbrella broken, kitchen cramped, cold and damp

Declan is an extremely friendly host who gave us lots of hints of things to do. We followed quite some and had a great time in and around Sligo.

The house itself we would not come back to. For us the low level of comfort and hygiene are the main determining factors.

Declan was friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any messages. The place was great! A great little cabin in the woods that had everything we needed. Not far from Sligo, heaps of different hikes and the beach. Declan has time for any questions you have and great local knowledge. Would love to stay here again.

Quirky, comfortable, location superb. Declan shared loads of info about area, very helpful. Maya the dog was a brilliant tour guide. Spectacular scenery, walking trails excellent, wildlife everywhere I looked, woods where house located is full of deer. Amazing experience can't wait to go back.
