    I came to Penang for a business trip. This hotel is just great, nice location (near the Maju Mutiara Restoran which serves tasty nasi kandar). Will definitely check in again if come to Georgetown, Penang. Worth the budget & nice stay. Recommended

    Kali ke-2 stay di hotel ni. Harga berpatutan. Condition bilik memuaskan dan selesa. Lokasi sangat strategic di tengah2 bandar. Boleh jalan kaki sahaja ke tempat2 menarik

    Booked 2 " Deluxe King bed" rooms. One room was fine and was the same as the photos on ***. The other was appalling! It had a window behind a curtain that opened into a noisy, smelly and hot service/ plant room. There was no window to the outside of the hotel. It beggars belief that the dungeon like room *** could be sold at the same rate as my friends good room. To the credit of the staff, I was given a vastly better room after I complained. My bed was very clean and comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The location is perfect but if you choose to stay at the Merchant, make sure you do not book internal rooms *** etc.
