Beautiful property, welcoming staff and parking

The room was as great as the picture made out it would be. A high level of quality experienced during my stay, kind staff and a welcoming space.

I felt a little rushed to check in after a text message to ask to check in between normal hours of 3-7pm. After a long day of travel, I rushed to arrive to not put anyone out but when I arrived, I apologised if I was later than I was supposed to be but was told that it was just to find out when I was arriving. The owner was nice about it, but it added stress to my travels which had been many hours of driving that day. The quality of the room and the warm welcome made up for that.

Wonderful stay, would definitely come again

Such a beautiful place and Brad the proprietor could not have been more helpful and obliging. Also we were lucky enough to get a ground floor room, which was much better for my disabled husband

If we got that room again next time I don’t think anything could have been better really

A lovely stay, yummy breakfast, and very nice hosts.

Breakfast was yummy, but wasn't included in the Booking.com booking, as it turns out that bookings via Booking.com are Room Only, which was disappointing, so had to pay for breakfast on the day of departure. Very smart facilities in room and en suite. Enjoyed the honesty bar, and the photo book with all the restoration work done in 2014 on the amazing 1820s building.

Didn't manage to find out about directions to parking at the rear of the hotel, which might have been handy, but in the end we parked on the street out front instead, which was fine as no restrictions.

Very well decorated with everything you could ask for a comfortable stay. Host made me feel very welcome. As I couldn't make breakfast, there was a packed lunch at my door in the morning. Great touch, thank you

Sehr gut eingerichtet mit schönem, grossem Zimmer. Das ganze Haus macht einen guten Eindruck und hat eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Gutes Frühstück. Gute Lage, alles sehenswerte gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Gastgeber sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
