I Mari di Gallura Apartment

The location is idyllic, on the edge of the beautiful Tavolara protected marine area; unspoilt, with multiple, pristine, stunning beaches within walking distance, and against a stunning, mountainous backdrop and beautiful countryside. We thought we may need a car, but as the bus to Olbia airport and city centre (where there are easy bus connections to other northern parts of the island, and a train station to towns further afield) stops just outside the property, we didn't need to. Going south the bus takes you to the nearby town of San Teodoro, or on to Nuoro ( where you can easily connect to other places further south), with many other stops along the way. The villa itself is charming, comfortable, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, bright, spacious with great views. Our hosts , Manuela and Angelo, were very welcoming, extremely kind and made us feel at home from the first moment. They answered all our questions, gave us local information and assured us that they were there to assist with anything during our stay, should the need arise. Immediate neighbours and people in local shops and bars also made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed staying at this lovely property and hope to return again soon.

We cannot find any fault at all with this beautiful property, but information about its address was incomplete and incorrect. It is actually in Monte Petrosu, rather than the town of San Teodoro itself, which was given by booking.com. (We made the mistake of going to San Teodoro and then had to make our way back. Luckily the staff at a lovely restaurant (Da Nardino) kindly organised a taxi for us). The address, as booking.com states it, is incomplete, as the distance along the Via Nazionale snc is not given. (We went back to dine at Da Nardino (and thank them for their assistance) and had an excellent meal there. Would recommend also).
