It was in a quiet road with a commanding view over the valley and harbour, the top one of a group of three linked villas, set one storey below street level. There were cctv cameras covering the entrance, and satellite tv. The property had a spacious living area, and an ample deck, with adequate furniture, but no sun loungers (it faces north west, so not a great deal of sun on the deck). Costa Paradiso had convenient facilities within walking distance, and the beach at at Li Cossi was worth the short walk along the cliffs, with the exceptional beach of La Marinedda a short drive away, which has some free parking and beach bars. We were very happy at this accommodation. There is a security presence at the entrance to the Costa Paradiso development, which was reassuring to see.

The shower cabinet was small, and the bedroom wardrobes were very tall. We had cause to use the ant and mosquito killer sprays provided. The local supermarket was good quality but very expensive - the nearest competitive one was 20km away. The nearby restaurants did not appeal - either through location or through piped music, or both, with some poor reviews. It was a 40 minute walk to the beach, and it is uphill all the way back. (There is free parking if you get there in time.) We heard some distant noise from the central bar one night, and that might be more intrusive in high season.

no air conditioning, no mat in the toilet, no toaster, no mesh in the windows, no curtains in the living room (which makes it difficult to sleep there).
