Huvilaranta Villas

We stayed at Huvilaranta Villas for the second time and hopefully it will not be our last. We booked Villa Kukkula and had such a great time in this beautiful house with our family. Such a peaceful place in the middle of nature. The view over the lake is stunning, the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed to use the boat or sit in the comfy deckchairs to read. And of course had countless visits in the nice hot sauna and swims in the sea. The modern barbecue grill is huge and the weather was with us to eat outside often. The whole place is perfectly maintained, everything is in place and spotless clean. The owners are so attentive and reliable if you have questions and the whole communication was very uncomplicated. Thank you so much, we loved it and had such a pleasant time.

This was such a wonderful spot, absolutely loved it. The hosts were lovely and live just up the hill, and give you contact no if there's any issues (we didn't have any issues). We stayed in Villa Akuliina which is the one with a lakeside sauna, large lawned garden, and a very private location, no immediate neighbours. This felt to me like a proper Finnish house, not a villa, maybe because it has two floors with 3 very decent twin bedrooms and large shower room upstairs, whereas many villas have an open sleeping loft. There is another bedroom downstairs off the open plan kitchen / lounge. This definitely offers more privacy. The villa is very well equipped and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking etc. The lines, towels etc were quality Finnish brands, and the wifi was very good. The balcony upstairs was lovely, and a veranda which runs the width of the house - loved how the design enables enjoying that view! There lakeside sauna building was great: there's another shower and toilet, it is heated with wood (perfect! see pic) and it heats up quickly :D There's also a lovely view from the sauna itself (pic through the window), nice dressing room as you step in with fridge and a fireplace, plus L shaped veranda outside (pic) with sun lounger chairs (not in the pics). Amazing!! Would definately come back sometime when visiting this area. I would recommend this villa for a relaxing breaks with family or friends, or a lakeside break, for anyone who wants a good sauna & swimming experience, or even WRC rally accommodation. Keuruu has some lakeside trails for walking, start e.g. below the old church. There is some interesting history e.g. Ampiala monument to Herpman Guerilla Bro is near the villa https://www.keuruunmuseo.fi/index.php/naeyttelyt/verkkonaeyttelyt/153-herpmanin-pojat-isoviha-keuruulla, and there are two old, historic wooden churches in Keuruu and Petajavesi (Unesco World Heritage site).

Alles vorhanden was man im Winter braucht! Wenn Hilfe gebraucht wurde, haben die Vermieter sich sofort gemeldet! Vielen Dank und gerne wieder!

Fantastic location for a cottage, lake is just a front of the house and a forest around. The cottage is equipped with everything, some equipment provided also by the host to arrange your activities. Nearest shop is about 15 mins by car. Wonderful terrace with a grill place and amazing view of sunset.

There was no toaster. Good audibility through walls, which causes some inconvenience when you stay in the cottage with a few families.
