1 bedroom house is away from the main area where the restaurant and the staff are …. It’s a 10min walkable distance however it’s really not that convenient as this was not mentioned to us earlier or it is not mentioned in the description.

INCREDIBLE staff - team so helpful and friendly.
Allowed to upgrade our room (to have a private not shared bathroom).
Delicious food and drinks.
GREAT value for money.
Stunning views.
Close enough to Galle to get to by tuk tuk.
Quiet - sound of the waves to put you to sleep.
Good vibe - lighting, music and chilled environment.
Body wash, hand wash and shampoo available in the bathrooms.
Extra bedcovers available.
Floorboards felt weak in some places when walking on them.

Loved the location and the layout of Bara Beach Home. The house we stayed in was very cosy and beautifully decorated and had AC. The hosts were friendly and the food was delicious. Direct access to the beach and fantastic view in both directions.
The hut was not sound proofed and very noisy when it rained overnight - however it was rainy season so to be expected.

Proximity to the beach is it's only saving grace.
Ramshackle construction, Windows wouldn't close and rain water flooded the floor. Room lights didn't work. Cockroaches under the mattress. No ventilation for the toilet.
One man kitchen, so don't expect any measure of quality.
