About this house rental
Private home located on the canal-2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms in a 55 yr and older community. Only 2 guests full time and one must be 55 or older; visitors welcome.
The community is perfect for Nature/Birding/Fishing/Boating enthusiasts. Neighbors are very social. Open concept living room/kitchen and dining areas. Master bedroom has a king bed with large master bathroom and an adjoining sitting room. This is set up as an office space-perfect for those that can work from home. The house has water views and wrap around deck with multiple seating areas.
Short walk to Clubhouse with many amenities-pool; bocce; shuffle board and paddle tennis. Private boat launch for those with a boat. Community is very active with clubs. Nearby are many Nature Reserves; walking trails; bird watching; bike paths. Centrally located from Bokeelia/St. James City and Matlacha. Great for fishing; photography; writers; artists; readers or any one looking to explore a different area and escape winter.

Pros..the house was a good size and had a good layout. It’s had everything that we needed. The location and the park was great. Loved the people and all the things going on in the park.
Cons..the house was not clean! My wife and I spent several hours dusting, sweeping, vacuuming (vacuum did not work well) the carpets need to be professionally cleaned or maybe replaced. The ceiling fans were fuzzy with dust as was the grate that covers the furnace filter. We washed a lot of the trim around the doors of years of dirt from peoples hands. The place has way to much stuff in it. The kitchen cupboards were all full so there was very little room for our groceries. I had to replace batteries in at least 4 clocks that were stopped. The deck is in poor shape and the patio furniture is rusty. The yard is very over grown and in need of a lot of trimming.
This home has such great potential but is in need of a good face lift. We left it in better shape that we found it but felt a little ripped that we were charged a substantial cleaning fee.
