Ovita Wildlife Restcamp

Super Lage direkt an einem sehr großen See. In dem See waren bei uns einige Flusspferde und auch weitere Krokodile, welche wir die ganze Zeit beobachten konnten. Der Eigentümer hat für uns ein super Abendessen zubereitet, obwohl wir nur zwei Gäste waren und konnten währenddessen die Nilpferde beim Spielen beobachten. Einfach ein unbeschreibliches Gefühl. Die Safari Tour am nächsten Morgen durch das eigene Gebiet rundeten unseren Aufenthalt ab. Mit dem Guide, welcher zu allen Fragen eine Antwort hatte waren wir mehr als zufrieden. Wir hatten super viel Glück und konnten einige Tiere sehen. Unser Highlight war eine Giraffenfamilie. Zusammengefasst - ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit einer beeindruckenden Kulisse um wirklich wilde Tiere zu sehen.

Überhaupt gar nichts

I would 100% recommend this lodge! The room was very clean and spacious. While there were some insects inside, that’s to be expected when you’re surrounded by nature. The owner, Heiko, was extremely accommodating. We joined the sundowner drive, which was fascinating. Heiko shared fun facts about the animals we encountered along the way. He also cooked and served a delicious dinner and breakfast. Since it was just the start of our two-week trip, Heiko was kind enough to give us some great advice, including which scenic road to take, which offline map app to use, and even some restaurant recommendations in Walvis Bay that we shouldn’t miss. His hospitality made our stay truly memorable.

Host Michael was so lovely and informative, friendly, cooked us a lovely dinner and breakfast was great. Beautiful huge lake with a lovely lookout spot - saw hippo and a black back jackal in the morning

Nothing not to like

The breakfast was ok. There was enough of every thing, but I mist the musli and there were no choices of eggs, fried or an omelet. The fruit salade was fresh and the jams were tasteful, but a bit old( sugar on top) The drive we had this morning was great. The WiFi was good.

It was boring. There was nothing to do, because there where no people (only 4 Russians who said that they where Bugarians). The meals were good but no choice.
