Okonjima Plains Camp

An absolutely amazing experience! Unfortunately, the camping site was fully booked, so we went for the Plains Camp room. The view from the room was amazing - right overlooking the bush, and both dinner and breakfast were very good. At breakfast, they serve a delicious home-made bread, excellent! We also went for a leopard tracking activity which was absolutely worth it. We managed to see a couple of leopards going around, climbing a tree and watching a giraffe, in doubt whether to attack or not. Very very nice. Overall, a nice add-on to our trip in Namibia. I'd def come back again.

The location was magical, both the view rooms over the plains and the main building, both were superb and comfortable. The staff were so generous. The guided tour are exceptional, we got very close to leopards and rhinos. Our guide Alfie was very generous with his time and knowledge. An unforgettable experience.

I don't think I've ever experienced service like this before, anywhere. Everyone at Okonjima Plains Camp is genuinely openhearted. You can feel they love what they do. It's not just professionalism, they really want you to feel good, and that comes through in every single interaction. What makes it so unique is the team spirit. You can literally feel how well they get along and support each other, and as a guest that creates an atmosphere you rarely find anywhere. The game drives were incredible. So much stillness and connection to nature, it reminded me how beautifully everything can work in harmony. And then there was the rhino tracking on foot with the bushmen. What an experience. Standing there in the wild, just meters away from these majestic animals, is something truly unique. Impressive, humbling, and unforgettable all at once. Back at camp, everything just fits. The design is beautiful, the food is excellent, and everything feels personal and tailored. But what stood out most were the smiles. Everyone we met greeted us with a real, warm smile, and that has become so rare. These few days were one of the most extraordinary hospitality experiences I've ever had. A big thank you to the whole team, every single one of you contributed to making this so special. And a special mention to David, who accompanied us throughout our stay and added so much to the experience. We felt truly at home, we would come back anytime, and we wish all of you the very best.

No air con, room temp 34°. Food offerings Limited. Felt very commercial & nothing like other lodge type stays during our month in Namibia. Better experiences at cheaper properties.
