Helpful staff and good range of breakfast

Breakfast was good with a variety of options. Overall decor of hotel is nice, especially enjoyed the pool. Staff was very helpful, friendly and efficient. The mattress was really comfortable and overall cleanliness was good!

I got a massage and really thought the overall quality could have been much better. She spent an incredibly long time on my legs after I had marked my upper back and neck my key areas of my massage on the intake, it was like she never referred to the form at all! I had to finally ask her if she was going to move on from my legs to my actual back half way through the massage. Definitely have had more attentive massages in a lot more places than this.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The lobby is stunning, with real plants that create a relaxing atmosphere. The pool area is surrounded by lush greenery and palm trees, and it’s even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Unfortunately, one staff member affected our overall experience. He appeared to be the staff member that acts like a supervisor assigned to the computer/workstation in the afternoon tea area around 3-4pm on June 28. Although we didn’t speak with him directly, he always looked very unfriendly and never smiled or acknowledged guests and gave us a weird look, which made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. We also saw him at the pool occupying one of the guest cabanas while smoking on that same day in the afternoon around 5ish pm. He was sitting across the middle of it, and even when guests came by, he didn’t move or make the cabana available. It gave the impression that guest comfort wasn’t a priority. We also had an odd experience at breakfast. My partner and I wanted to sit at a four-person table because we were in a hurry to catch a train. The restaurant was almost empty, but we were repeatedly asked to use a smaller table instead. A short while later, I noticed a solo guest sitting at a four-person table, so I was confused about why we weren’t allowed to do the same. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, with excellent facilities and a lovely atmosphere. I hope management looks into the consistency of the guest service, as that was the only part of our stay that didn’t match the quality of the hotel itself.

The only downside was one of the staff members working in the afternoon tea area around 3ish pm and was at the pool area around 5 PM. I believe it was the older/taller staff. The rest of the staff were friendly, but he came across as unwelcoming and didn’t make us feel like valued guests.
