Domus Lunae - Vatican Luxury Home with private terrace

This is a perfect apartment for a stay in Prati. We were travelling as a group of three retired guys and therefore each had a very comfortable, air conditioned room - one with an ensuite and the other two sharing a second bathroom. The facilities throughout the apartment were excellent and I hadn't previously noticed that they even included a combined washing machine/dryer. Mimma and Claudia are clearly very experienced hostesses who have everything very well organised. The apartment is extremely well equipped and it is difficult to see how they could improve in any way. They had numerous helpful recommendations for restaurants and bars and a host of other useful information. There is a supermarket directly across the road from the apartment entrance Despite their long experience, the ladies were still genuinely warm in their welcome and very attentive in all their communication. They even rearranged their cleaner's timetable (without us asking) so that we could stay later on our day of departure Prati is a very pleasant, safe neighbourhood with numerous restaurants & cafes nearby. All the Vatican attractions, Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese are easily walkable. The Colosseum is the best part of an hour's walk, but taxis are reasonably priced and easily available and public transport good.

Die Lage ist super, man kann fast alles zu Fuss erreichen und trotzdem ruhig. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Basics für Küche und Bad werden gestellt. Direkt gegenüber liegt ein Supermarkt. Claudia und Mimma haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen und wertvolle Tipps gegeben.

Nos Hôtesses Mimma et Claudia nous ont mis tout de suite à l'aise et les formalités administratives ont pris très peu de temps. La localisation de l'appartement au premier étage d'un bel immeuble dans un joli quartier est parfaite, à 10 minutes à pieds du Vatican. Il y a un supermarché juste en face et un excellent restaurant typique juste en bas de l'immeuble (aucun touriste, excellentes fettuccine boulettes et lasagnes). La décoration de l'appartement s'éloigne des standards sans âme gris/beige/blancs et donne l'impression d'être un peu chez soi. La terrasse a un charme fou, idéale pour manger quand il fait beau ou se relaxer sur les deux transats. Une des chambre à sa propre salle de bain. Pour finir, des explications sur feuilles plastifiées complètes et explicites sur l'utilisation des appareils, ainsi que des recommandations de restaurants authentiques dans les environs montrent l'attention des hôtesses pour leurs hôtes.

Petit détail insignifiant et sans doute culturel, il y a 3 cafetières différentes (dont une machine à café avec ses dosettes gracieusement offertes) mais pas de bouilloire électrique pour le thé (ou alors je ne l'ai pas trouvée) La gazière étant légèrement capricieuse, faire chauffer de l'eau sur le gaz est un tout petit peu fastidieux quand on boit beaucoup de thé.

The facilities were really great, we had everything that we needed for the 1 week stay. the hosts were very helpful and communicative. Also the supermarket is right across the street.
